You didn't happen to change out the fuel tank did you?  

I need a new fuel meter assembly, but at $523 it's gonna be a cold day in FLORIDA before I buy one. It's probably worth about $100-$125, but since it's a limited market the price is plain crazy

Funinthesun, do you need a new fuel pump or the fuel level sensor? I've found replacement fuel pumps w/intake filter that can replace the fuel pump section of the in-tank assembly, but I haven't yet found a replacement for the fuel level sensor.

Howdy. No, the fuel pump is fine. It's the sending unit for the fuel gauge that's heading South quickly. When full, it was still down one bar for several months, then it went down two bars. Now when it's topped off, it shows one bar over half. I just ignore what it shows (it does get accurate once the real amount of fuel matches what it shows) and go by the miles since last filled route

I had hoped Polaris might have used a fuel level sensor from one of their other products, but I couldn't find one that looked similar to the Slingshot sender.

Phil check with Bob Runman, I believe he removed a few for the v8 installs.
