Guys/Ladies does anyone have the Slingmods modular flip top roof? If so what do you think of it? I like the t-top roof but it’s like $2500.

Welcome to the "World of Slingshot Insanity" .... Several different vendors making 'roofs' for the Slingshot. Prices are all the way up and down the scale. Take a little time and look around at all of the options out there. Major question is why and how do you want to use the top?
As much as I like the look of the cloth top I feel that since I’m over 6ft I need something with a flip top.

The Stinger top is a nice unit and I know several that have it. $$$$.$$ https://slingshotonly.com/pola…r-roof-polaris-slingshot/ There are a couple of canvass tops that have the flip up design for easy in/out. Check out http://www.allthingslingshot.com kev will be very helpful.
https://www.meansling.com/ flip forward top. couple of different ones.

Over 6ft..........Don't even think about the Silngshade....
I'm 6'2 and use the slingshade. I am fine with it. I do lean a little at stop lights though lol.
If possible you will want to at least sit in a Slingshot with the top on it that you are looking at. Might look good in the pictures, but it is not comfortable when you are behind the wheel --- not good. Drive when ever you can. Most of the guys will take you for a ride and many will let you get behind the wheel and drive so you know for sure what you are getting.

I guess everyone sits a little different, I'm 5'11 and if i stop too close to a stop light the only way i can tell when the light turns green is when the guy behind me starts blowing his horn...And on the rare occasion that i wear a helmet, It has to be a beanie........
I don't wear a helmet. so that isn't an issue for me i guess.

If you do any riding in a state that requires a helmet it will be.
I have the flip top and I love it works well and fairly easy install I am 5'9
Tomorrow can't come fast enough , when my new top arrives , so says the shipping company...

I'm going to second this opinion. You need to sit in a SS with a roof - and there are plenty of designs out there. I'm 6' even - but very tall in the torso and a lot of the tops were just too low even without a helmet.
Post where you are located and I'm sure someone can hook you up with seeing a couple different tops to try out.
I love my flip top - I like the flexibility that I get with it. I like the fact that I can take off the front part and not have to leave it at home if I want/or need to put it back on if the weather goes to crap. I also like that it makes it easier for my wife in to get in and out of the SS. She struggled with Slingshade due to her disabilities (when we were seriously thinking about buying the SS - we were first looking at the GT model).
It is cheaper than the slingshade and assembly was not that difficult.
It also has its disadvantages - like have to look to side to see stoplights if I'm close. Being PVC piping, I wish that I could have reinforced a little more, but so far I'm very happy with mine.

virginia does require helmets, however, i argue the nonremovable roof quote in the law books for virginia and ask cops to remove my roof and then find a place to store it to ride and they no longer argue with me or question it. i have not been stopped for riding without a helmet after.

And a lot of that depends on the 'day' that the LEO is having. Couple of years ago I had an officer wrote me a seat belt ticket ($25.00 & NO points) --- don't ask why he stopped me (BIG $$$ & POINTS). He was just telling me to slow down a little.

I have had them to just flip the blue light
6' 3" here and I have to wear a helmet. I cannot sit under a slingshade and found most tops either too low over my head or come to far down into my field of view. I ended up selecting the Stingray after trying it out. It has the added advantage of being able to be opened/closed while you are driving. This is very handy when conditions change, or the sun gets low on the horizon and you are driving on the highway.
.......finally got around to installing my StingRay Top , challenging since I did the install alone & found the instructions to be somewhat helpful .......I can honestly say my wife had a smile on her face when she walked in on me installing it and it's because of her it's on my slingshot 😡......
I do like the function of sliding the top panles back for night riding or forward for the day time sun 🌞.........
Can't give any other reviews til I get a chance to check it out, the next time I can get some seat time......
