Are any of you using HID or LED headlight bulbs and what do you think?
Also where did you purchase what you’re using?

You'll have to forgive Fun, he can be a bit terse when he hasn't put 500 miles on his sling in a day.
I went with these, life time warranty and they are very bright. Brightest LED Headlights
Yea! Sometime I get that way. On the 2015 Slingshots the relays would not support the HID lights so Polaris had to add an extra relay. I have the Canadian light lights also so I had two relays. But still one relay would not support two sets of HID lights on Hi beam. So I changed all 6 lights over to LED and have never had a problem again. Amazon
Slingmods....and now the 4 sided ones doc found on amazon...
I went with the same ones Wokka went with. They are bright and have a life time guarantee. They are a little expensive but as bright as they are and light everything up plus the life time guarantee I feel they are worth it. The difference is like day and night.
Led from Amazon just put them in a week ago so far love them.

There you go thanks for heads up BKL.
For those of you who posted about using LED bulbs from vendors OTHER than the common Slingshot aftermarket sellers, it would probably help those interested in what you did to add a link for the LED bulbs you purchased.
Is there any modification required to use the amazon lights? OR any for that matter or is it plug and play?
The ones I linked from LiteYourSlingz are plug and play, however, you do need to cut the boot on the outside lights to put the module through and get some more air flow. They are great lights, and several have noted that the lack of instructions is a drawback, seems most people wind up calling to find out how to install them.
Other than that, easy 1 hour install.
Amazon u get 5-6 year warranty for an extra $5

On mine I just removed the boots on outside lights to allow air flow I was careful to not destroy boots just incase I should ever need them, everything else was plug and play other than the boots and zip tying the module and wires up out of way. They are completely waterproof according to manufacture. They have everything you need included including the module and adapter for outside lights. If you go that rout feel free to ask and I will help all I can.

The boot is there to keep water from splashing on it from the wheel. Just cut a tiny “x” in the middle of the back of the boot to fish the wires through. Then put the boot back on but don’t push it on tight up against the back of the bulb. So the heat doesn’t build up as much...those lights get very hot. Water splashing on it will cause it to break.
Ok, I just watched this install video. They changed the design of the boot on newer SS. So you might not need to cut the boot.
Both pairs of lights on my whip have been upgraded now. I just had them on my wish list on Amazon until they went on special. Second set did last week and picked up the middle pair for $22.
What a difference!
LED, Slingmods.......

What is a WHIP? I thought it was a Slingshot!
