1 mile East Coast Timing Association event coming up next week.

I just wanted to see how many people will be coming to Blythville AR next week to watch me and a few others hold the go fast pedal for a full mile. I do belive after making a few local test passes that there will be some 155 to 165 numbers. Who knows what will happen. I will be bringing extra final drives , extra belts , extra tires and wheels and lots of race fuel. Something is going to happen for sure...

It will be Friday and Saturday and Sunday. I would show up at least for Sat and Sunday. I will be there Thursday for Tech inspection. This is the real deal. I'll even have to put on a full race suit.

I'll be there to cheer, so if anyone is coming in from the west and wants to caravan, let me know. I don't plan to leave until friday afternoon, work and all of that, so plan to be there for Sat and Sun both.

Well we are here. Dave is finishing his engine install here in the pit area....

I have made a 35mph pass down the runway.... all I can say is WOW!. If you think that 1/2 of a mile is a long way you cant imagine how far 5280 feet is. I may only run the 1/2 mile today and work my way up to the mile.

I swear it looks like the curve of the earth is affecting how far you can see.

I'll be posting random pictures throughout the day. I wont be adding any text or description. I just want to get the pictures uploaded so everyone can see what it's like.

P.S. Dave and I will literally be sitting down with the owner and the tech people defining the rules and safety for the official Polaris Slingshot class. This is not your regular "run and get a time slip stuff" These people have very strict rules and classes. We will be competing for an official LAND SPEED RECORD. Same as the salt flats.

These people are the nicest and most open minded bunch I have worked with. Next year they will have 3 events here in Blythville. You may want to mark your calendar...I will post the dates when I get them.

Couldn’t make it this weekend rabtech. Looked at your runway pics. Haven’t seen that since I was stationed there 46 years ago. Back when half the population of Blytheville was military or dependents and the locals treated us like crap.

no Kyle D didnt make it this time. It's up to Dave and I to represent. So far we have had to do rookie training and stuff like that. Noone can run right now due to wind gust up.to 26mph. They will resume when it dies down a bit.
