now that you got the steering wheel all you need is a new parking break handle and shift knob

New to this forum, just bought a 2015 sl back in November, thanks for the information in the post, I was able to get the hub adapter SRK-170H Off of eBay for $29, installation was simple with the assault steering wheel puller.
I didn’t want to use the half inch spacer to get the clearance needed and push the wheel closer to me, so I modified the horn button for clearance because of the steering wheel bolt. Ended up just cutting out the back of the button soldering on a wire to the cone shaped metal piece inside. When the horn is pressed the metal piece grounds on the steering bolt and blows the horn.This site is fantastic for ideas and information on mods, happy slinging

We love our NRG detachable steering wheel, I'm a big guy so it makes it a lot easier to get in and out.

Both of my Slingshots still have the stock shifter boot.

That surprises me - when I first got my slingshot my first mod was a new shift knob - didnt think about a new boot, but when I went to install the knob the stock rubber boot was so full of cracks I had no choice but to replace it - - - very surprised that your stock boots have lasted this long

The 2015 and the 2016 look brand new even now. 93,000 miles and 11,000 miles.

I had bought the assault adapter back in 2015. Once you've got that you've got a huge choice in various 6 bolt wheels that will fit, many of them quite reasonable.

I put the Assault D on mine also. Did it on my first SS, and it was high on the list for the it's booster replacement. They now are on version 2.0, and even though I loved the first one, this is better. Better materials, and the have it is red, blue, and I believe in orange. Of course black is available also, so it can work with any SS. I really like the look.

I really like some of the aftermarket steering wheels, and I'd love to have a quick release, but I kind of like the Sparco steering wheel my 2019 SLR came with. I just wish it had the flat bottom.

Call the vendor who is selling the steering wheel and adaptor --- they should be able to steer you in the right direction. Call and talk before you order.

All slingshots use the same adapter. Don't recall the size of the top of my head. Lots of choices available.
