Polaris reportedly facing lawsuits over RZR fires

I don't doubt there may be some wrong doing by Polaris, it's a business, and they will run it that way. However, that article is full of sensationalism and photos to incite people. Reminds me of watching a newscast, any of them.

I can never be sure about Polaris engineering/bean-counter decisions after the headlight fiasco with the early Slingshots. For some reason, Polaris chose to use a 240W load on a 20A relay "protected" with a 30A breaker. That placed the power demands at the top of the relay's capacity without adding in the power needed to actuate the headlight high-beam shutter. I was really surprised that 2 years testing never uncovered the potential problem. I rewired my headlights to place the outer auxiliary headlights on the fog light circuit before the recall fix after losing my headlights during a night ride. It was a relatively dark night and when my headlights went out the pucker factor really kicked in.
