Polaris Slingshot advertising

I am on reddit almost all day...how in the hell did I miss this? lol

I enjoyed some of the posts, especially about driving the Slingshot IN Uranus instead of ON Uranus!

Personally I’m against any vehicle ads that depict drivers driving like maniacs....it give younger drivers stupid ideas that they want to try while drive around you and you family putting us all in danger.

Most young drivers are already driving distracted and crazy to begin with....they don’t need more reckless ideas.

They fail to read the fine print about stunt drivers on a closed course.

One recent new car ad said their vehicle now comes with a “drifting” mode.

So they can drift around blind bends and through intersections. I surely hope they can’t afford to buy this car.

IMHO stupid people do stupid things regardless of what anyone says or shows them, for example it doesn't matter how many commercials I see of people jumping in front of a bus, I am not going to go out and try it....the same logic would apply to other people with common sense and sensational ads like the slingshot.

Your comment is as antiquated and erroneous as the one that video games are to blame for mass shootings if you want to blame anything blame our society current mentality that "everyone is a winner" which doesn't prepare people for real life and the many failures that they will encounter which then make them snap.

It’s not just the slingshot ad. What purpose does does doing donuts in the street serve?

It’s reckless behavior.

Video games have no consequence. It doesn’t teach what happens in the real world if your shoot someone or if you die.

Hit the reset and look ma I’m alive again. Look ma the car is fixed. Look ma I can steal cars and run from the cops. I can even shoot back at them.

The list of mass shooters is almost all under 25 years of age and they have been on some type of head medication.

The same kids that were not allowed to get an “F” on a test or to be held back and they all got participation awards for making the team that a dead horse could have been the first baseman. Can’t hurt little jimmies feelings because he sucks at sports. Or If can’t add two plus two.

The same kids that didn’t get their ass beat instead got a time out on the couch. That’s such a horrible punishment. Taught them nothing but there is no consequence for bad behavior.

Bleeding heart liberals created this mess.

They were never taught rejection. And how to deal with it. Or how to handle not being the best.

They created an entire generation of pansies. Can’t handle anything. Really great at texting and taking selfies. Life is all about how many likes I can get on the internet.

Don’t need a job or a car or a house or a wife. Just live with mommy and daddy. Play video games and chat. Can’t cook, can’t manage money if they make any. Living in a dream world. Everything is free. Politicians told me that. People are liberals/socialists or racists.

But the advertisements are made/directed to/for the people without common sense...Or border line stupid...

Advertising is like a James Bond movie.....fast life, fast cars, money, beautiful women....

There has to be danger.

People are easily brainwashed.....look at California, New York, Chicago....look at the egg heads running for Democratic President. Any of them said anything resembling the truth yet? Everything is free....we’ll just take the money from the rich people....you won’t have to work only they will. They like giving their hard earned money to lazy people that don’t want to work.

Back to the original poster, Slingshot advertising. I can't believe Polaris doesn't do more to advertise. I am amazed at the number of people that doesn't know what a Slingshot is. I am in business and sure am very small. I spend a huge amount of money on marketing annually. Seeing some Slingshot advertising is like seeing a fox. Rare to see but when you do its probably dead on the side of the road.

I just recently received some ads in the mail. Nothing on tv....they could do an all inclusive commercial showing all of their vehicles...to better use their advertising dollars...

Word of mouth is the best, most reliable, most economical form of advertising. There is nothing like a satisfied customer....happy people will tell 5 people....unhappy people will tell 20 people...

Yep, got it. They’re trying to clean out old “S” model stock. Same ad invited me to come out and do a test ride and be entered for a chance to go to Hawaii with a Sling rental thrown in. Just might do that.
