Automatic conversion on stock engine. She's shifting on her own. All that's left is machine a few small parts for the shift lever and into the trailer she goes on her way to Maggie Valley.
She's shifting!

Way to go sir!
Can't wait to see it. -
Can we get that in a powerglide?
-
That is way cool!!!! Do you see this as being a common and affordable conversion. I know a few individuals that could benefit from not having a clutch. (Prosthetic)
-
Depending on how hard you can make that take each gear I may be your first "do it at home kit" customer. I hate shifting gears. I would love to put it in gear and leave it... I just don't want slow gentle shifts.
@Turbosling I added the 's to your topic title... I figured you were so excited to show off that automatic you just skipped over those keys....

that would require cutting of the frame! -

We are actually doing this for a individual that needs hand controls. The auto conversion will start around 5k We will be piecing kits together once we finish this build. -

It has a controller that can be adjusted to each individuals needs to set shift points, speed of shift, how hard/fast etc.....

Did you have to modify the tunnel to make it fit?

no.

This is probably the best mod anyone has made for the SS. Being able to go fast (turbo) is cool. Making them look good is great. But giving someone a chance to be in the wind again is priceless!

This is one of the many reasons that Henry and the entire Alpha gang are tops on my list!!!....just one of many...

It truly is a very full filling to help him experience the joys of a slingshot. From what ive been told it has been 19 years since his accident.

This will be one of the biggest highlights of this trip!

I'm sure Robert, if you put a power glide in, it will have an 8 inch converter and trans brake for sure
-
Man Henry that is kick ass! Congrats on accomplishing the set up for so many that will benefit from love you put in the SS.

That's reply tells me you thought about it....I'm sure any transmission that shifts itself is a welcome addon.
-
Sign me up for this conversion. My wife (bless her heart) cannot drive a stick to save her life. I bought two slingshots (and plan a third at some point) with one planned for her....but she can't drive stick so my other sling is just sitting there.
Again, SIGN ME UP.

what state are you in?

the oil pans on autos are always bigger. Our sema v8 is a auto with a 4le and the frame had to be modded
