Just out of curiosity Kyle D , how many lengths lead would a N/A Sling need to compete with you? Slingshot lengths, not Titanic lengths...

over 9000

Lets use the numbers from the Slingshot I used for the NA testing. Bone stock that Sling was at 163whp and after the intake, headers, exhaust, and tune we ended up at 170whp so let's go with 170whp. At 170whp, with a decent driver, and sticky tires, on not too hot of a day at sea level, that slingshot is going to trap somewhere in the high 14s to low 15s in a 1/4mi and be lucky to trap 90-100mph. At that power level in a 1/2mi the NA Slingshot is going to be drag limited long before I am and I would guesstimate that in a 1/2mi the NA Sling wouldn't be too far past 100-110mph mark. Based off that info and the power level I am at, I guess that it would need pretty close to a 1/4mi gap to be competitive. But again, this is all speculation and educated guesses.

Or just over 100 lengths. Way off wokka !
Thanks again Kyle D . It sounds like I'll get the chance to check those 1/4 mile times in Sundre, Alberta next week.

Let me know how you do whether in a post or a PM. I never got to take mine in a 1/4mi while it was NA so I am guessing based off what I was doing at 6psi. But I am really interested in how you do so keep me posted! It would be good data to have.

Well I spoke too soon. I just texted Slingshot Garage and the track he has lined up is 1/8 mi. There will be a bunch of people running so there should be plenty of data - just not for the quarter mile. My bad!

Kyle used mine in Maggie Valley for some testing....

Hey 2W2X1 , weren't you planning going to Huntsville? I thought we were going to get a chance to meet.
Initial plans were to attend... then life, work and the heat combined forcing me to pass on this event. One of these days man... one of these days.
