Ha I knew the title would get your attention you bad boys...
I had to remove my rear top and back panels. One of the back panel underside t40 bolts was cross threaded from the factory. Unfortunately the welded screw came loose so the bolt just spun.
Got it all out with a vice grip but now I need a new nut and will have to JB Weld it.
Went to the big hardware store and I knew this was going to happen. Every nut I tried went on a short way then jammed. Tried 6mm metric and 1 1/4 SAE. The bolt fit in the sample holes but no bolt would get past a few threads. Brought three T40 bolts with me just in case one had bad threads. All the same thing.
I doubt Polaris sells the nuts separately since these come welded. What to do??
And once I got the back top panel off I could see why they cross threaded it. The support is twisted to sh$t. Arg!!!!
