My SLR has no top, no wing, no fancy windshield... and I have no hair!
All in the name of aerodynamic efficiency, of course! 😄
Maybe it’s the goggles, just sayin. Seriously, don’t take offense I like them.

Wait, he's wearing goggles?!?!?!?
I love that photo! You can see my house reflected in the goggles! 🤠
Mine has consistently gotten 21 or so on the highway, figured it was just my lead foot I do use the cruise on the highway and run 75 - 80 usually. I can get a lot higher if I go slower. Tooling around on the back roads running 50 - 55, I can get as high as 27 with cruise. Must be the Nascar windshield, TD soft top and WIndRestrictor causing issues. I just buy more gas!
All of it adds up to a parachute, remember that my averages were for 1,800 to 2,000 mile with the foot to the floor.
Running the expressways at 75+ I generally get 26.5 mph..... stock Polaris out of the box under the hood.

That’s about what I’m getting out on the super slab. A little better when running slower sightseeing. About the same when I’m not thrashing the curves.
Yeah, SlingShot #2 (In the Avatar, no roof) consistently got 24-25 MPG with how I drove it. Everyone knows how pixxed I was when I got 34 mpg on one of the Kerrville trips. I've also gotten as low as 20 mpg on it, but I never really checked the GPS settings.
Slingshot #3 now has a roof so I know that is taking some mpg itself, both from weight and from drag. It does have the same windshield on it. It's getting 20" front and 22" rear wheels/tires from Twist Dynamics soon so I wasn't worry about the difference yet. But I'll see if I can get someone (ZZP?) to set the program for the new tires once I get it. It actually has SLR 18" Front/20" rear on it temporarily from the dealer even though it's a base.
Gasoline update
Sunoco has a 94 sticker over the the 93 button....it just dropped down to $3.50...
Ok, got back from Huntsville last night. Used cruise (a lot), supercharged, usually doing 75-80, computer says 37.2 mpg!!! Yeah, like that’s really accurate.

So it's time to add up the receipts and find the real number!

Better to spend the time riding than calculating mileage….. TWO-CENTS.gif
That is a Arturo Fuente curly head. They are just as good as any of the high priced Arturo's. I love anything by Alec Bradley except the black market. Oliva does make some good cigars. I have a array of cigars. Nothing like a good cigar and a glass of bourbon.
I know Cali is a long way from OK but if you ever get out here stogies & Kentucky (my MIL's home state) bourbon is on me! Plus a guest bed & good steaks, of course.........

Roughly 1,060 miles round trip...
6 receipts...
Looks like 175.6666666667 mpr (miles per receipt).
Is that good???
On my Florida trip I took my Hyundai SUV, 2.0 L turbo, AWD.
I did 2372.0 miles in 39.0 hours of driving averaging 62 mph. I used 100.21 gallons of gasoline for an average mpg (as calculated by the pump & odometer) of 23.67 mpg.
The car's computer showed 23.6 mpg. Gives me some confidence in the on board computer!
Just checked my last fill ups on my way home from Homecoming. Speed averaged 75 MPH went 189 miles and averaged 27.9 mpg. Computer indicated 27.6 mpg. I cant complain about that.
My gas gauge says when it’s empty...I’m not going anywhere till I juice it up again....and it doesn’t matter what the MPG.....no gas, no riding... I actually forgot about our built mileage calculator....
I watch the trip meter and when it says 150ish I Top it off with 93 usually a $20 will do it.

Did you see a change from your pre-tune trip down?
Did you see a change from your pre-tune trip down?
Yes, at 80 I was getting about 27.5 vs approximately 25.3 before the tune. Haven't check it at 65 or lower yet.
Meh! - - - miles per gallon is meaningless - - when you ride a Slingshot its all about Smiles per Mile. If you use a few more gallons but get a bunch more smiles then all is good
You are correct Edward, my first replies were really about the accuracy of the onboard computer and the varying results we get. Probably a lot more variables than we really are sharing, temp, humidity, altitude and drag/headwind. With so many mods and varied changes, I'm not surprised that we are seeing such varied results.
I knew that the SS wasn't going to be efficient, and most of us didn't buy it for the good gas mileage
We treat it like a sports car.
