Couldn't help this
Is this called a 'rock solid building' in the Trades????

I remember seeing that and somewhere around there was a small cave you could see from the hi-way on the side of a pasture
-
That is very cool
-
Brings new meaning to being between a rock and a hard place

Well, if the PTO God says that it is O.K., the wife and I, we will try to make this our first SS meet. Got a '19 GT about one and a half months ago. I see that the participants is 40 and the max is 40?
-
I just made room for you and adjusted the max to 50
-
WOW. 40 already. Gonna be a fun time!! Jim and I are at the roadway Inn

Welcome SlingSC. Glad to have you. Glad to see you registered. Here is a ride photo in honor of you registering.
-
Registration process should be fixed. Anybody that has tried to register in the past and it not worked, please try again. If it still doesn't work. PM me with your number and I will be glad to call you and walk you through it.
-
Here is a local sign and perfect chance to poke a little fun.
We here and Mayhem in the Mountains don't discriminate.
We want all our Slingshot brothers and sisters to come regardless of their political views.

Glad to finally get registered. I thought for a minute there that y’all were trying to tell me something when I couldn’t see a place to register. Glad you got the registration issue resolved.

My bad - I set the max participants to 40 not thinking the average would be 2 people per Slingshot.
Welcome to the party

No problem. Looking forward to meeting you.

Is that 40 slingshots? Or 40 people total? We're still trying to get something worked out.
-
40 Slings.

Not all Slingshots will be 2up..... probably 3/4 of them will be 2up....

Okay folks. I+1 have put this event together and planning is going well as is local support. Local Support has been unbelievable. Before this event even starts. Some people needed to be thanked for all their efforts and time they freely give.
None of this would be possible without Rabtech. His countless hours managing this forum makes this possible.
Funcycle taught me how to ride a Slingshot and what one would do. (I hate the smell of brakes anyway)
Av8ingtom and V-Shot who treated me like I belonged at my first event when I was a Newbie (my tires still had nipples on em)
EJFord who showed me how to modify my existing work trailer to haul my sling.
Last and certainly not LEAST; MACAWS. Folks Macaws has been and still is my mentor through this entire process. Macaws and I have spoke weekly since March putting this event together. He would never say or admit it but it would be less work on him to host the event at his place. He has been very patient guiding me through this process.
That's the way he is and allot of the people on this forum are. They give so much freely to the Slingshot Community. We all can make more money but none of us can make more time. I hope to give back to the Slingshot community some of what it has given me.
To all you Newbies. Get registered. I was a Newbie a year ago. I was a little nervous about going to my first event 5 hours away where I knew absolutely nobody. My girlfriend said, "these are your people, I don't know these people, I'm just going to sit here and watch Cannonball Run". Now I can't keep her quiet at events.
No more book writing for me on this thread. Wanted to post this for months just been too busy.
-
I wish no ill will toward the popularity of this event, but I hope all the spots don't fill up before I can commit 100% since I am still Slingless.
