I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!

    Starting this week I am no longer working Fridays four day work weeks are now my permanent schedule. My wife works nights as a dealer in the local casino and as such she sleeps in the day and we only get Saturday and Sundays to do things together. What this means is that now each Friday at least until 2 or 3 in the afternoon will be completely free for taking rides or doing mods or even just giving the Sling a bath.


    Fridays = Ride days - - - - - - - - - - - -YEA!!!!!


    Now lets just say a prayer that my Sara doesnt decide it should be honey do time =O

    Actually I am home from work most days by 3:30 so with all of the daylight we get this time of year I should be able to get any honey do's out of the way without them interfering with my Fridays

    Just going to have to dress and leave for work like it a normal Friday....

    Our first 3 years of marriage had me working a rotating 6 days on, 2 days off for the Army, while my Wife (Air Force) worked a rotating 4 evenings, 24 hours off, 4 mids, 24 hours off and then 4 days, followed by 96 hours off. The great thing about her schedule was she basically got a 4-day pass every couple of weeks. The drawback was this also meant we had 1 day off together every 13 days or so. Gave me lots of time for relaoding, shooting Skeet/Trap and going to the pistol range, as well as playing my music loud. The different shifts also probably made us feel like newlyweds for a longer period, too. We've now been married almost 45-1/2 years.

    I can relate to your newlyweds feelings, I truly believe that working opposite hours as we do gives us both a much greater appreciation for each other and the time that we do get together - we just celebrated or 21st anniversary on the 25th of April

    Welcome to the 4x10 club. Been on that for the past year. Prior to that I was on a 9x80 for 12years.

    Gotta love that schedule. Best schedule I had was a 4x40 at nights. Started work at 6pm on a Monday and finished up at 6am on Friday. Basically gave me a 4-day weekend every week.


    (Last job went to 9x80, but I was only there a few months before I moved on. Was nice to be off every other Friday.)

    My new schedule is 7:30 to 3:00 Monday through Thursday. I am planning on cutting it back to 3 days a week at some point in 2020

    I have not worked a day since Nov.5,2005 You just will not know how much you will enjoy the time off. I do not stay piled up in the house in the recliner. OH! I do stay busy, spent the days riding or tinkering in the playroom every day. Even a good book will only last me a little more than 8 hours.
