I purchased this gas cap IT FITS,and I just designed a twist so you can use it without modification to the gas cap (SEE MOVIE BELLOW). After it is made I'll post pictures.
Inexpensive locking gas cap

Use with caution. Do not tighten it very much because it can be very hard to undue. There were times my wife could not get it undone and I had to use a screwdriver to get it to release.
I ended up putting to stock one back on. -

I ended up putting to stock one back on.That would suck and be embarrassing at the pump to have to use a screwdriver.

I don't have a program to open the .mov file. Any chance you could put it on youtube?

I have this BRP cap, and it was on too tightly at the gas station. Of course I'm on empty cause who wants to stop with a half tank? Spent ten minutes struggling to get it open. Couldn't get the cap off and had to improvise..I ended up using the l shaped reflector bracket that had fallen off recently/ I had tossed it into the glove box to re-glue on later. It scratched the cap pretty good...but in a pinch, I was glad it worked.

That's why I'm making the twist bracket which has the same outside diameter as the gas cap, and has a radius which will fit where normally you fingers go and you can twist it to loosen or tighten.

the cap is slightly to big around, simply sand the edge down so it fits better and add grip tape. I tighten mine down and haven't had a problem, started using it last August.

Agree. I ground the edges very lightly with my bench grinder & added the grip tape like @Red - works smoothly with light finger pressure.

Mine fits without sanding perfectly.

I just realized the picture I used was from the day I "lost" my sunglasses while riding.. I sat them there while talking to some one and thought they were lost. When I got home they were still there.

Wow! That's actually amazing! Glad you didn't lose them!

That's maybe because is a fast grey one

They probably couldn't fall off. If you look closely at them they probably have indentation marks on them where they were pinned against the gas cap so hard from all the power the gray ones have!

JB Weld and a couple old knobs.

good idea- don't have the locking cap- went with the Alpha- have no problem getting that off, but with the stock- sometimes, if I wasn't paying attention, I would get it too tight, and couldn't release at station....... embarrassing as hell.......
