Is there a way to post a video on this site without having to put it on YouTube first and then posting the link?
From what I can see you need a host site to link too. Does not have to be youtube. I am sure it is due to server cost. If this site hosted all the videos cost would go up.

You have to uoload it to youtube then just post the link to it on the forum. Videos eat up a ton of space so most forums leave that to youtube and vimeo.
I do host all the pictures though.

Okay, I have a smugmug account I use to host my photography. I use it for my still photography, but I can also put videos up there. I know I can go get a link and then post the link here which would let people click on it and leave this site to go view it. I would like to know if there is a way to make it show right here like I have seen others do

It may. It just depends on the CODEK it uses. Most of the time it will work.
