Recently purchased my 2018 SLR - along with the manual and other paperwork, I came across a USB drive (see picture below). Doesn't seem to have any content on it, was curious if anyone else came across this as well.
My 2018 also came with that USB. It has information on it for the GPS. If you hook it up to the glove compartment USB hook up and go into maps I believe you'll see some files. I didn't hook up the GPS so I use the drive for music instead.
That is the first i have seen of a usb drive being used as promotional goodies by Polaris. .
Mine showed up as an 8GB drive. No contents at least when viewing on the mac, but I should try plugging it into the usb port in the sling and see what pops up, like some of you have shared.
My 2018 model came with one also. You can go to the Polaris website and if there are any new updates for the ride command system, you can download it on this usb and then transfer the updates using the USB port to your Slingshot ride command.
i think a lot of cars are coming with them now. My (new to me) used Chevy Silverado came with one from the dealer loaded up with all my purchase paperwork and stuff.
My 2019 SLR came with a 16GB stick, It's on my keychain now - I use it to back up my lectures and materials for class in case I forget my regular drive like an absent-minded old guy.
