The same thing happened to me the first day. I redid it the second day and it's stayed there since.

You didn't look in the right spot , lol ,no one of the bad things about authorizing everybody to edit the map is people scrolling around looking at you may accidentally delete or move you . so I put you back in and found some more good looking photos too. I left room for five. more photos (10 limit) so you can post some of the good looking couple too and maybe some of your event photos, just . post them here if you want me to add for you
When you click on your Icon and the window opens , if you just click back on the icon and left click and drag , you can move it around map to better location , but don't forget to scroll in on map first and blow it up good first.

I got you on there SlingRed but didn't have a photo, can you post a couple here and Ill get them up for you, or you can try by clicking on your pin then using the camera icon that appears in the bottom of your window when it appears

You can have up to 10 photos , and the Spirit is definitely worthy of bandwidth ! Slingrazor

when you click on your pin and your location window opens up the row of icons at bottom where the camera is , also shows a dripping paint can , click on that then select "more" then scroll all the way down past hundreds of icons, the last option is 'CUSTOM' you click on it and upload any photo that would make a good little icon

Whoever created the red slingshot with with the panda, I sorta stole your slingshot image, removed the panda, changed up colors and added my own flare. While the fast-red color is awesome, I wanted to customize it. Plus, I like being unique, so I have my own icon up now
I'm horrible with photo editing, and I don't do it enough to be any good, but I spent an hour on this in Gimp, and am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Soon I will stop publishing the editing version of the map and just ask people to contact me to post new pins for them , at that time only the finished map will be found by the link, it is what you see now if you click the preview button. here it is below , clicked on MACAWS lone wolf pin . Some of the benefits of the map are mapping your way to anyone's, or the Clarkesville event for example. I just went to Lone Wolfs pin on the finished map by selecting his name from the owners list, then clicked the arrow to the right of his name in the red box , and a window appears asking me to type my location in as starting point and wah lah ! a map to the event!

Is it just me or did ALL of the custom icons disappear? I just opened the map and see only red, purple or blue markers. I had a SlingshotInfo & Panda as my icon, as did many others, but now I do not see any of them.

fixed it BKL again another hazard of leaving the editing button open to the public. that roller icon on the top of the legend to paint all the icons one color was selected and changed , I just had to change it back to ''individual style'' and set labels by ''name''

I asked rabtech if it is o.k. to use the panda image and he said it is fine

Added in my location and a photo of Ruby... but noticed that some photos show on the map, but most you have to click the location. Any idea why - or how to get your photo to stay visible so we dominate the map?
