Still dead despite my best efforts at revival. Received the backup camera recall notice and thought, this is my entree into the dealership. Called Spirit Motorcycle in San Jose, only to find that Polaris had pulled their dealership! (If you’ll recall, it was a tech @ Spirit who drove a member’s Sling into a wall not long ago.) Called California Speedsports in Livermore — now the SF Bay Area’s ONLY Slingshot dealer, in a 5-county area with 7 million residents! — and they were more than happy to take me. In February. 2/12 as a matter of fact, nearly a month away!
Their rep Nancy was super nice and the shop agreed to install my Hawk 5.0 pads in addition to what she said were not one, but two recalls. Perhaps the second is the soft recall on the brake sensors? No matter, when the shop is done I should be back on the road in style.
