Hope you're up & running again there, Bro!

Still loving my blue top Optima... think I got it from Amazon but not sure.

I was all "Yay, @Tripod for the win!" Then I clicked the link and started to read, and although I think I knew what every individual word meant, the sentence structure and word combinations completely confoozed me.
So now I'm back at "Yay, fuck, I'm stupid." So, yellow top for the Sling?

The P/N is 8016-103 D34M. It's both a starting & deep cycle battery. I'm still running my OEM battery as I've had no issues with it (yet)...

@KayTwo I went with the yellow Optima primarily for the two sets of terminals.
I will connect the external jump ports and the accessory power lines to the side terminals while the ground and power for the Sling will be connected to the top terminals.
The Blue Top also has two sets of terminals - they're on top vs the side...
-
OK - new Optima battery is in.
How did people modify the + / - wires on the Sling to attach to the larger terminals on the battery?
Same for the accessory power lines - did you crimp and solder on different connectors?
I guess this would work.

Have you watched this video? Around the 4 min. mark he is hooking up the wires.

Thanks! That helps as well.

My main battery (which is stock) is worn out. It won't keep a charge. So I'm getting the yellow top battery. I like the side post option to hook my additional battery.
I have just let my stock battery drain completely down to many times. I can't trust it to take a full charge anymore.

Thought I would tackle the installation of the Optima battery and the external jump ports.
Started with this:
My plan was to put the large posts on the side terminals and the marine terminals on the top posts.
Reading the directions from Optima, it says to use the side ports for starting only.
Ran into three things that slowed me down.
1) the large posts didn't seat all the way down on the side terminals. So I went back to NAPA and bought the side terminal posts - smaller and not as deep.
2) when installed in the top posts, the marine terminals are too tall to fit into the battery compartment. So I had to pick up standard terminals.
3) the factory positive wire was to short to reach the side terminal. Not sure if this is the correct way, but I simply bolted a 12" extension to the factory line and taped it up.
Installed the battery adapter plate / kit from Cycle Springs.
Installed the external ports behind the driver seat ( should have put them a little lower as the seat slides back into them)
With the extended wires, I was able to attach all the wires to the battery while it was sitting on the floor.
Before you put the battery in, be sure you put the battery hold-down strap over the top of the battery.
Was able to position the battery and strap in in securely. There isn't a lot of room but I got everything to fit.
May not be the best approach, but it is working for now.

Help! Went out to fire up my Sling this morning and the fricking battery is dead out of the blue!
So it looks like the Yellow Top would be a good choice (FYI, mines a 2015 SL), Alot of posts about the Yellow Top, but haven't found or seen a part number or model of the Yellow Top that people are using. Which one! Help me out guys!

My understanding is they only make 1 version of the yellow top - search Optima Yellow Top and see what comes up.
As an example
