What did you use and did you torque the calipers to manufacture spec or just tighten until your face turned blue ?
Painting brake caliper

Duplicolor caliper paint kit. I use the can and brush kit. It smooths out nice. I just use my judgement on how tight I tighten most things. I only break out the torque wrench whe it's related to engine components such as bearing caps and things like that.
44 years old yesterday and my method works for me. But others may need the torque specs to get it right.

I used High Temp Engine paint for my calipers. I did two "base coats" with silver first, then did 3 coats of Red. I didn't take my calipers off, just used painter's tape and newspapers to cover everything. I bought the paint at Auto Zone, so any auto parts store or even Wally Mart would have what you need.
If you go with the tape and newspapers you don't have to worry about re-torquing the caliper bolts. I have removed the calipers a couple times though, and I simply torqued them to spec.....no blue face and bulging veins -
