Then and now............

  • At some point they will hit a price wall....And the sales will drop, And then Polaris will drop the Slingshot....And they do have a history of dropping a product line....Ie, Watercraft'and Victory..

Some times a Cigar is just a Cigar.......

  • That’s a pretty significant increase....but that’s the world we live in....if you want it you’ll pay the price....

I would have never paid for one for what I have in mine now. $20,000 was probably too much for an SS ....but closer to $30,000 is more ridiculous. Fun has its price and everyone feels differently about how much they want to pay for it.

  • I agree about the $. I wanted one so bad when they came out in 2014/2015 but I couldn't justify it. But after drooling over them for 3 years, I just bought a 2015 SL with 3600 miles for $15,000. It still hurts the bank account, but not as much!

  • Yea, the amount that this machine has depreciated in just four years is a little disappointing :( , but being able to say that we have owned our first year model since new makes up for it! :)

As far as buying a SlingShot today, I would find it very hard to believe that Polaris is selling many of the higher priced offerings?

  • Ugh! Man do I feel your pain. I am a spreadsheet junky and track all my hobbies. Most times it is a curse. My SS spreadsheet is depressing the most.

Initial SS base price $22,450 OTD

Cost of all mods to date $47,199.44

And that is with very little labor paid for any of my mods. Just a few hundred for air ride and turbo install.
