02 sensor Code 65561 Mileage Killer

    Code 65561 Oxygen sensor, Taking wife around garage sales I notice the engine light on and mpg was at least 8 mpg lower than normal for in town driving. Just a little FYI if your mpg is sucking it might be the Oxygen sensor. Said it could be low voltage, high voltage. below normal or I am guessing sensor is just bad. I am going to try and clean it first, not sure if that will help but cant hurt.

    By the time I save up for mods, I have to buy another rear tire :cursing:

    I can feel mine having either mini surges or mini bogs. Not all the time and that 5th gear thing might be happening again where it goes faster if you back off the gas. that ended up being the gas pedal malfunction needing to be changed.


    Two fill ups ago gas mileage was at 21... this time 26. Wild mileage swings.

    Did some searching for direct plug and play replacement.


    Bosch 16746 and it fits a Cadillac SRX or CTS or STS 2005 and 2006. Oreillys. 60.00


    OEM 12589321 not carried by parts stores. Online only for 125.00 OUCH.
