Doc - you have a million Wally Worlds around your area - I only striped the ones out of the Lowell store location lol
I'm going out after work today to try again. Hit 3 locations the day before Thanksgiving and came up empty!

I actually have painted one of mine to look my white one Came out pretty good
The wife hit our local Wally World and snagged two! I decided to make it the centerpiece of my new TV/fireplace wall. Here it is with the barnwood mantel temped up and the TV mocked up.
Didja see it?
How 'bout now?
Seriously, these were a lot bigger when I was 8 years old.
Of course it's red!
I've struck out every place I've been....
If I don't get any in a week or two, would anyone be willing to sell me a couple? There for my son... okay, and one for the old man too!
PM'd you. Got you covered!

God bless you, Sir!
If you take two Matchbox Slingshots and take the front wheels off of one and put them on the back of another , you get a miniature Trakhamr.

Man that reminds me of my slot car racing days. I had a group of friends that got together on Friday nights and had friendly but serious competitions racing slot cars. Eventually we all ended up with the same go-to car which was the Trans Am, which usually won because of its wide stance and low center of gravity. So to gain an edge I cut the tops out into a T-top to save something like .00003 grams and lower the center of gravity. Then I bought CJ-7 slot cars and swapped the rear axles onto my T/As because they were wider. Then to top it off I would spray the rear wheels with spray adhesive the day before then run them off for 15 minutes or so before my buddies showed up. I had a pretty good run of wins until my secrets got out. I guess that might be considered cheating today but back then it was considered 'innovation'.

I did something very similar......however I wanted my mantle to stick out farther......I used artificial stone that was about 2” thick. Meaning that much of the mantle wouldn’t stick out as much.....so I put a 2x4” on the back of the mantle to make it stick out more after the Stone was installed.....the 2x4 made it stick out 1 1/2” more than how you have it now.
black is the mantle.....red is 2x4 (or the thickness you want to use...which will not be visable) ...blue is stone...brick...

Thanks Bigdog that's my plan. I have a 1/2" sheet of OSB there now. Once I source the stone I'll determine if I need more. Some of the veneers are as little as 3/4" thickness on up to around 1 1/2". The idea is to maintain the 7" x 9" profile of the mantle.
Here's a little project I'm just finishing up:
This is with no lights on a cloudy day. Those are sun tunnels putting out the light.
And the before:
A shout out & big Thank You! to chavey2.
I got a couple Matchbox Slingshots in the mail today.
The only thing he asked was "pay it forward", so I got a dozen assorted matchbox & hot wheels cars & took em down to Toys for Tots collecting center today & dropped them off. They were pleased, said they would make great stocking stuffers for kids in our area.
