Now a days "calling" is a foreign concept, I know that personally I don't have the time nor patience to play phone tag with answering machines/systems.
A phone call takes several minutes where a text/email takes seconds.
A business who can't promptly answer emails or text is a business most people avoid now a days, the only phone calls I do/pickup are work related conference calls.

I am just opposite, if you can not answer the phone you will not have my business. I do not talk to machines.

that's exactly my problem, most businesses now a days have an automated pbx that you have to fight before you get a real person.
Here's a trick that works about 80-90% of the time: when you get to an automated menu with all of the "Press 1 to..." options, just hit 0 about 8-10 times. Most of the time it overloads the system and takes you straight to an operator.
