Has anyone had their windshield tinted? If so how has it held up?
Window tint

I've only seen one in person and it didn't do well. It looked good for about 2 months then it peeled away.

Yeah, kind of figured it may not hold up for long.

I think it's mostly cause its open to the elements more than other vehicles. Especially in Colorado, the sun is really intense even when it's only 50 degrees.

I'm Glad somebody asked this, I was going to try to tint my double bubbles. This was good info.

I plan to use plastidip or something similar to peel later if it doesn't work.

I would imagine painting it the same way they tint the tail lights could work much better.

The problem is that the OEM windshield is polycarbonate which is next to impossible to get a great tint on. However, I had mine done and it has held up and still looks good, as well as to be expected. The tint used was basically a clear coat with some tint in it. I tinted it since I was looking over the top of the OEM windshield anyway. I also did my double bubble. By the way, I still have both if anyone interested in buying. Last year, I went with the F4+3 windshield.

From experience, this doesn't work that well either. You may get a decent tint on it, but you will not be able to see clearly through it.
Also, when you are wet sanding it, you have to be extremely careful to not flex it.
Skip this and buy and OEM tinted one. -

I'll just be doing it to the double bubbles and plan on looking over anyway...
Still love my f4+ tinted...

One day you will have to take my around the block. I've got the F4 tinted 5+ and I love it. I do look thru...have on all my bikes.

I've got 60,000 miles on that windshield and it still looks good.

My thought is what do you do at night with a dark tinted windshield. I use mirrored goggles in the day time and switch to clear ones at night. Plus if it’s too dark it’s not legal.

You can paint a windscreen black if you want in most states. It's not a "windshield" and the auto windshield standards don't apply.
