You should consider Amsoil for all your lubricants.
Trans fluid

Does the slingshot transmission have a transmission filter? I didn't see anyone on these diagrams. The reason I ask is my C7 Corvette has a trans filter. Going to cost me about $400 to have the trans flush and filter changed next week. Hoping that is covered under GM 5-year drivetrain warranty so probably not since there is a TSB for it.

In general, manual transmissions do not have filters...

I know the Tranny calls for GL-3 but it's pretty hard to find in a synthetic. Is GL-5 ok to use? And a second question, does anyone know the drain plug sizes? I have a lot of metric sockets but can't seem to find one to fit. I'm thinking 24mm because I've got a 22 and it doesn't quite fit...LOL

Nevermind.... Found that GL-5 has additives that can corrode "yellow" metals so it's a no go. And the drain and fill plugs are 24mm.
Has anyone found a GL-3 other than Polaris for their transmissions?

Yeah I read that earlier but it's not a synthetic. The only GL-3 I found is Motorcraft.
Motorcraft® Part Number
XT-M5-QS

The purple stuff says on the label:
"..............non-corrosive to soft yellow metals, (brass, bronze, copper), safe for use in manual transmissions with Synchronizers. "
30,000 miles in our SlingShot and so far everything appears to be fine.

Changed the tranny fluid this morning. Took the required 2.75 qts. I let it drain quite a while. Going to take it for a ride in a minute to see if there is a difference. Really doesn't matter, it makes me feel better that it's done. I don't trust factory mechanics....

We use redline MT-90. We sell it for $14.99/qt. It holds just shy of 3qts so you'll need 3 bottles. You can find it here https://zzperformance.com/prod…os=1&_sid=cb868ed71&_ss=r

Yep...2.75 is what the manual calls for and I bought the Royal Purple for $19.99 and my local auto parts store carries it in stock. No shipping.
