Anyone out there do any hydro dipping or had it done. I am wanting to dip my SSV speaker pods in a carbon fiber film. I already have a real carbon fiber wing installed I want it to match as close as possible but I do not think that it has to be a perfect match. After searching online there are hundreds of sites selling hundreds of different types of carbon fiber film. The choices seem endless when it comes to carbon fiber. The weave on my wing it a rather small/tight silver and black type. I think that getting the colors and look right is more important than the actual weave size. I want the end result to look like a carbon fiber weave and not a silver and black checkerboard as some of them do. Does anyone have a suggestion on a site and an exact film name that would achieve the look I'm after? Asking for samples is pointless because some require a silver base coat while others require black. The film itself will not look like the end result.
Also do I need to buy their base and top coat paint or can I get what I need at the hardware store. I know I have to get the activator from them.
