We still have some work to do tomorrow morning before we can fire it up. We pulled a vacuum on the cooling system and we have detected the smallest air leak ever. I would say it's almost undetectable by watching the vacuum needle moving. We're hoping that it's just a leak on one if the hoses or on the thermostat/water pump assembly. It was already late when we found the leak so we are starting early in the morning so we can get whatever is causing it fixed and get it moved over to the dyno.
It's 1:00am now. So y'all have probably noticed I wont sleep tonight I'm sure.

I feel better now. We found the leak in the cooling system. There was a tiny cut in the water pump housing gasket.... We changed it and it pulled down and held its vacuum...
It is now offically a runner. It's sounds loud and mean. However I am not big fan of loud . So we're about to muzzle it a little bit. And then install the same boost operated dump pipe.
The one thing i find intresting is how quiet the engine itself is. The engine has 0 clicky or clacky noises. It's valvetrain and internals are completely silent.

Well here is the first start video. It's still burning the handprints and oil off of the engine and turbo.
You can tell just by this video it's going to have some attitude and some serious turbo whistle. When we tune it She is going to be set at 18 to 20 psi I believe.

That's all great news for you!

Ya know an all alum v-6 would work really well in our SS's!

Oh crap back to the Blood Back to give a little and get a little and raise some more funds for Motor R&D

I understand the sound quality from a cell phone leaves a bit to be desired but I did notice #3 intake valve pushrod needs adjusting. This can be done at the hydraulic lifter. RHS Johnson Rod is not the same exact length as the LHS and your phlurbyous spring is too tight. Just saying. Other than that NIIICE.

I inherited my Grandmother's 1961 Buick Special. As I recall, it came with a 215 ci V6 that put out around 155 HP. It was lots of fun to drive since it didn't weigh that much (the 2-speed auto didn't help that much, though), but its Olds sister car offered a turbo version that put out around 215 HP which was pretty good for the time.
The one problem with that motor was its aluminum block with cast-iron cylinder sleeves. I ran it for a short period w/o antifreeze, just plain water, but that was long enough for the head gasket and disparate block/cylinder liner materials to quickly eat each other and the engine died. I still miss that car. -

I couldn't agree more with you. I don't think I could drive a Slingshot that was loud all of the time, especially if the exhaust doesn't dump out back. Way too annoying after awhile. I like to listen to music and talk to my passenger.
People will see or hear about my turbo and built engine setup and get excited to hear me start it up. Then, they are incredibly surprised/disappointed on how quiet and tame it is. It is a very relaxed setup until you get up over 10psi and the turbo really starts spooling and the tire starts screaming for mercy...
For those that don't realize/know, there is a BIG difference between 10 psi and 15psi on this type of setup. It really start to get crazy and sound mean as your get into bigger boost. I wish my fuel quality was better in AZ and I could run it on high boost all of the time without detonation. -
I always wondered why Polaris didn't use a V-6. My Solstice Turbo had 300 HP.
