This is a fun day ride that I like to take. It is about a 102 mile loop from my home in Palm Springs Ca at an elevation of around 405 feet up to Idyllwild Ca at an elevation of 5,413 feet. of the 102 miles approximately 62, from Banning through the mountains to Palm Desert, are two lane twisties going up and down the mountain and with Idyllwild at almost exactly the halfway point it is a great place to stop for a bite to eat, to browse the little shops, and stretch the legs. Along with being a blast to ride in the Slingshot Its also a great chance to escape the heat in the summer and enjoy a change of scenery.
