I would hate to be in the SS at 180mph. That would be nightmarish.
Top speed??

Here is what I was referring to... this was the data that MEFI pulled out of the ECU.
-
Here are some of the other variables that are displayed.
-
And some of those values may be modified by Bob. I can't be sure that a stock ECU would have the same variables. This is a Hahn flashed ECU.

I have exceeded 140 many times and always felt safe and secure, no handling issues at all and that’s with one hand on wheel and one on shifter. I doubt it handles much difference at even higher speeds as long as tires are rated and balanced to take it.
I have done a simple zip tie on my fenders to keep them from flexing, rest is all my stock shocks Ect. -

I admit that my SS needs the front end aligned. But it's still light as a feather at speeds over 120.
Im sure at Ocala in Jan. at the 1/2 mile shootout we will find out just how strong mine is on top. Hopefully I will wear my big boy panties that day....

Lol, I know for a pretty strong fact yours has ALOT more HP than mine, I’d love to put it on a oval track and see just what is a safe top end on these.
I usually push it all the way through 4th and shift into 5th to slow down safety but 5th also pulls really good up there, about the time I’m thinking I’m pushing my luck with our friends in blue! -
added, unless you secure the front fenders, I’m pretty sure they will flap and break apart at those speeds....
-
flip it to KPH instead of MPH and enjoy the bigger numbers
-
Ross. Quiet man Your giving away us Canadians secret on going fast. Hell when you guys were talking 140 I was giggling to myself and saying that is nothing, I have hit 160 plus
-
I'm thinking if you take the full flaps off the SS it could hit better numbers.
Just sayin.
-
. Slingshot... looks cool as hell, but we're still pushing a barn through the wind.
-
Just turn that barn door into swiss cheese.

I know a crazy ole man just down the road that would love to give it a go for ya! LOL

Uploading a run thru the forest check back in a couple hours.
-
Pretty much ran all day at 90 to 120mph..

I can verify removing the barn doors behind the front wheels does eliminate most, if not all lift on the front end at speed. Been running without them for a year now.
I highly recommend before you run the 1/2 mile, both @rabtech and @StickerDick take the 20 minutes to remove them. -
Must be boosted... Or maybe wheel/tires are really off?
160mph on a video posted to Instagram... I just took a screenshot...
-
Boosted, that's very possible. I'd like to see a shot of a GPS at that speed. Our speedo's are way off the faster we go, and at that speed. you're splitting hairs on our gauges. That's about where mine redlines in 4th.
