So you have the Alpha windshield post not the DDM?
It just looks like that bunch of wires will not fit thru the hole in Dave's post
But I will find out soon enough
there is no way you will get all of the wires thru the dash mount. Most of the wires are for listening to your radio thru the GPS, Hands free talking thru the GPS for your cell phone, and listening to voice commands from the GPS thru your radio speakers. I did not us all of the wires. I have the Hot and ground only thru the dash and used the Polaris harness under the dash for the factory radio.
And you do not have hands free calling on your FLIP PHONE-
And yes the Alpha post
What did you do with the rest of that crap?
Can they be unplugged?
All I want is the power leads so I can connect it to the switch in the dash.
You know you are going to cost me $700I been looking at that GPS since you showed me what it can do. You can do a lot of it in base camp but with the GPS you can do it on the fly. Plus it works with the virb. My daughters birthday is Wednesday - ya think giving her my used GPS is a bad thing?
I think you can download the Motorcycle loops (GPS) from the MotorcycleRoad.US.com. They have a lot of loops that can be downloaded and you will not have to program by hand.

If you use Garmin Base Camp you can just pick point A and Point B then it will find the curviest route - cool program @av8ingtom turned me onto. Free download
I created some routes locally and will try them when it stops raining.

That is what I am talking about and the real work has already been done for you. Just another source.

I cut the unused wires off, taped them up with electrical tape the wrapped the end of the wire shield with electrical tape and wedged it into the dash mount.

Hahaha, this is like watching a slow-motion train wreck.
Finally got 1 video to upload to YouTube. More to come shortly I hope.
