After one of the rear latches failed to close I decided to look closer at the bracket. The design sucks as the metal is too thin and the rear flange bolt does all the work. I made a metal piece to spread the force from the rear bolt to more effectively hold the bracket.
1/8 x 1 1/4 flat steel 1 3/4 inch long with an oversized hole (3/8) to allow for adjustment.
Eliminates a majority of the flexing in the bracket.
