My Vanderhall came stock with the Federal 595 RS RR tires. It's a great looking and great dry weather tire, but if I had shit canned that rear tire when I put new Venom Power Ragnark Zero tires on the front, I wouldn't have had to put in a claim with the insurance company. The only reason I didn't do that was the Venom Power Ragnark tire wasn't made in the size I needed and there was still a lot of tire life left on the Federal. Too bad the federal tire outlived the Vanderhall
Tires...what are you running?

I'm probably going to need a new rear tire after the trip to Maggie Valley. I can get a Toyo Extensa HP II for $170 locally. Would this be a decent tire? Would it be better than a Nitto for $180?

I won’t use Nitto again. Terrible traction. I have a supercharger that makes it worse. My wife had a Nitto on hers and she didn’t like it either. Loved my Nitto MTs on my Jeep but I hate the street tire on the back of a Sling. I think others have had the issue too.

I went to Lexani LX Twenty when I purchased new wheels. Good tires with good reviews. Pricing is excellent on them as well. There are some others here running them also.

I'll second the Toyo's. I have the STs - replacing the Nitto 555s. MUCH BETTER. The Nitto is a hot weather tire, good in summer, terrible and scary in winter or rain.

The Nitto 555 has no traction winter or summer. I have a NITTO that I was forced to buy, that I would give you. Just pay to change it out. The worse tire that I have ever run on my Slingshot.

I've also been looking into the Lexani Twenty for about $106.

Tires --- a lot depends on your driving style...

Wow, and what size is your rear tire ?

I'm running the original Kenda 255/35 20. simpletire.com has that size Lexani Twenty for about $106. I've read that others are running that brand.

based on recommendations from friends here the last time I replaced my rear tire I went with the Riken Raptor ZR. I got it from tire rack for $158. only had it a short time, but so far it seems to be pretty good. traction seems excellent. of course wont really know what I think until after it has been through one of our summers. our 110 degree and higher temps with the roads getting much hotter can be very hard on tires. the stock kendas didnt last for shit

I've been running that exact tire for 4 years now. I like it but open to anything better coming along.

I have a 345 20 on the back.
Toyo quit making them I think.
So it was between the Lexani and the Pirelli.
The Pirelli was over $600.
The Lexani was right around $200.
Thought that was good value.

I believe the Lexani are good tires and the vendor, Rev Dynamics, uses them!!

I can't decide if I should go ahead and replace the tire before SSITS or wait until after. There's not much time to figure this out.
