Just as the subject states.... Who would like better under hood access? ..... Have an idea to look into this weekend. I could always use a little extra room and may have an easy way to allow the hood to swing more forward when you need to work on things....

I thought about replacing the top hood hinge bolts with lynch pins. Pulling the pins would allow the hood to be almost vertical. Just need a brace to hold it up.
Another very cool idea @Ruptured Duck. - Its a pain to work on anything under the hood. You can box that up along with your new top my friend. I just crap money when it comes to the Sling

That would be a very good idea, even if you got it just high enough to sit on the tire without bending over to clear the hood.
There's quite a few hoods I'd love to get under, over at Lou's Bar... 
my old Triumph Spitfire was a dream to work on because of how far the hood would tilt. Sitting on the tire was the best part...

I had toyed with the idea of a slotted plate that would allow the hood to open an extra few inches, but haven't tried to work out the geometry. I'd definitley be interested in a DIY effort or a reasonably priced commercial solution.
had to bolt everything back tonight but took plenty of pics for idea generation. Found that what ever is done needs to maintain proper hood alignment when set back and lowered. Have to do some hood adjustment tomorrow... .
