It has been posted that these are supplied by a US company who also supplies similar units for Victory and Indian motorcycles ... but remember the display is just a slave .... the actual receiver unit is the black box mounted in the hole .....

That explains a lot. I had my IC head unit off to do some other installs, and when I turned the key on the radio started playing anyway. I wasn't sure how that was happening considering I was holding the disconnected head unit in my hand at the time.

I'm using a Sirius Stiletto radio for my SS. It plays using an unused FM station.

There is a line level input in the harness. You would just need to cut them out and wire the female rca jacks on.

HOWEVER they are for the future gps system. So if memory serves me they will play over the top of the regular audio such as fm.

rando what am channel do you use for xm radio..I have a xm dock that I keep in my big rig.the slingshot i bought which is a 2016 sl, the guy before me has it wire already for the xm dock but I cant get to play though the stereo. He has power cord aux cord and the antenna. Everything works except sound coming thru. Thanks for any info from anyone

I don't have a XM setup but believe it uses FM not AM

Yes, FM. I just did a search for unused FM stations in my area.

The Sirius/XM module is mfg by Radio Sound in Louisville, KY. They are/were the OEM supplier for the SS with the “old” style radios. They also provide radio equipment for HD, Victory and many other bikes. They WILL NOT SELL anything to the public. They are OEM supplier only!
