I just got mine in the mail...the installation video shows the meter being installed to the right of the tach....I'm thinking I might want to install mine between the two gauges....has anyone installed theirs that way and if so are the wires long enough or did you have to add to them to make it reach?

Here is my voltmeter.

Installed mine to the left and under the gauge panel not something that you want to look at all of the time. It has been there a long time. You would have to sit in the drivers seat to even see it.
-
You guys.....Now I might have to get more creative....
-
I'm just going to mount it where they did in the video..because the steering wheel kinda hides it from my direct view.......that said.....I installed it as per the instructions and it didn't work....contacted Slingmods and Chris told me the supplier changed the wire color code without warning....he told me the new color code and I'll be trying it today... I'll keep you posted...
-
color codes? I'll admit I didn't by mine through slingmods, but I only have two wires on the back of mine.

I have one of these in my dash that I use to charge things. simple two wire hookup.

UPDATE:
The meter is installed to the right of the tach and my hand and the steering wheel hide it from normal view...which works for me.
Second, the wiring code in the installation instructions are wrong...Chris from slingmods sent me a new color code by email....that is also wrong...he said the supplier changed the wire colors.
After swapping the 3 wires to all the different combinations I finally got it to work...
The new color code that worked for me is
Black-red
Yellow-green
Red-white
Totally backwards from any normal color combo that I have used for the last 50 years....red hot, black ground, yellow light...Good luck

I have a simple voltage meter in a 1-1/8" hole in my dash, but haven't yet hooked it up. Thinking about hooking it to the wires to the Start button.
Do you remember the hole size for your meter? Also, what wires did you connect the meter/usb charger to? -
This one has 3 wires...red, white and green. And it has blue LEDs that match our gauges.

I don't remember what size hole, and the two wires go to a hot with key on and ground

Thanks. Since my radio circuit is fused for 25A and my radio itself is fused for 15A, I think I'l just hook the voltmeter to the accessory hot wire and ground on the radio circuit and see how that works.
