Dunno how we got here but we are in a time when Colin Kapernick is praised for kneeling during the national anthem vs Drew Brees shamed into an apology for his belief in honoring the flag. Never thought I would see patriotism wither on the vine like it is today!!
There's no HOA in my neighborhood, but regardless, I will always fly the American flag proudly on the front of my house. Let someone complain, I dare them...

Brees wasn't shamed for his belief in honoring the flag. He was shamed, because like many people he didn't understand why Kapernick was kneeling and why people are protesting now. He was shamed more harshly, because he is the captain of a mixed race team sport and clearly didn't understand where some of his teammates were coming from.
He apologized for his misunderstanding, not for his rightful belief in respecting and honoring the flag.

This is truly slickening. I'm afraid it will only get worse at a rapid pace. Sad when Americans have to hide their patriotism! I hear stories all the time of people in collective association neighborhoods and apartments that are being denied the opportunity to display the American Flag. Sad, it's to the point of destruction for displaying the flag.

I don't believe anyone believes flying the flag (any flag) is offensive. What I believe is happening here is the HOA has pointed out that one of their byaws that prohibit anyone from displaying flags on the front of their house has been broken. As much as we all may disagree with it, people agree to follow these rules when they buy a home in that neighborhood.

Americans companies are leaving China but not for the US....they are just moving to other shithole countries.....so no new American jobs will be created.....and there should be no new tax incentives for these companies either.....

What he originally said he said is what he believes but caved to the “social justice warriors”. That is what is the problem these days - whether you or right or wrong your beliefs are yours - capitulating just to satisfy dissenters is just being like another lame politician. See, for me, I didnt care why Kapernick was kneeling - his cause was completely lost by when he chose to promote it and in reality for me it had nothing to do with the flag either.
I go to concerts and watch sporting events as a chance to get away from all of the crap in life - I sometimes pay very good money for this chance to escape and the last thing I want when I have paid money to be entertained is for the paid entertainer to bring the very crap I am trying to get a break from into the time I PAID FOR
you want to protest - - great I fully support it - - just do not do it on the time I paid for, go do it on your own free time
Kapernick could have been preaching things I would fully support and it would not have mattered - when I have paid good money to see you play a game, or sing a song or dance a dance - dont waste my time and my money doing non related things

I don't give two shits about renaming army bases because of who they are named after. Name one Camp Unicorn sounds fine to me. It makes me mad when retired generals make political statements to make themselves look relevant. They took no action when in positions of authority because they valued their power and position over doing the right thing. It wasn't a problem when they were in charge? I've never trusted anyone over full bird, you don't get stars unless you climb the political pole. End of rant.
