we could just as easily pay for the needed scrubbers to clean coal emissions....so why aren’t we?

Yes, your history is correct that there are natural cycles. However, mankind can and has surely increased the frequency and intensity(highs and lows) of those natural cycles.

His style has just boiled over seething emotions, beliefs and multitudes of other things that have been simmering under the surface for many years in a multitude of Americans. I believe in rules....for most everything!! One of the first is the rule of respect!! If everybody, politicians or not, just plain respected folks they converse with, especially if you don’t agree with them, it would do more for this country than anything any President, Senator, or Representative ever could !! I may argue with you from daylight until dark and think you are a dumbass in my mind but will never say it aloud. I’m sure many have thought I was a dumbass and some have voiced it. IMO, the ones that voice it, do not have the mental fortitude it takes to argue respectfully. Show respect and 9 outta 10 times you will get it in return!!

I am not smart enough now to get in a debate ( at one time I could have) at 73 years and two triple bypass surgeries the brain power has kind of faded. The one thing they need to do is take care of the people that put them in office. BUT THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

since we’re on the subject of electricity ....if you have a smart meter they can tell what appliance you are using by the amount of electricity it’s using...they can control the amount of electricity you use Or they can shut it off....just like digital money.....

He's in Palm Springs ... you don't want to know ..... however I am getting dividends from some of the turbines up on the hills nearby ...

(August, in South FL ... $160 per month on the yearly average budget plan ..... House, pool , and shop included ... nuclear baby )

Before we got solar our bills ran from a low of 350 in winter to over a thousand in July and august. We leased the system and now our monthly bill is around 342. We easily save over 1,000 a year and we also love knowing exactly what our bills will be. Our system over produces so we also get a small check from Edison once a year to buy the over production

I have a modest 1500 sq ft home in Northern Indiana --- people are always screaming about the cost of our utilities --- I'm on a monthly average....gas and electric run $225.00 month. Winter months can get a little 'cool' --- 0° and summer upper 90°'s.

Guess I'm OK on my cost.

Depends on where you live .... the West Coast with desalination plants and South of me because its all run by Yankees its higher, mine used to be around $28 for water only, they initiated a minimum monthly charge last year so that snowbirds who don't use water 6 months out of the year still get a bill every month .. now its around $36 .... I have a well for non potable use and don't use the city sewer or it would be about 40% more ....

Now my cable/phone/Internet .... that is a whole other story .......
