    What are the thoughts on Bloomberg getting in on the Democrat run for POTUS?

    It would appear that he sees the current crowd as unacceptable. The problem for dems is he will pull support from Biden who has the best chance of beating Trump. Maybe being a billionaire he likes the Trump economy and sees keeping him in office as a good move financially.

    That is a very plausible hypothesis.

    I think Bloomberg is too toxic to make a serious run for the Presidency. He has been public face of too many gun-grabbing, anti-free speech movements. He is also the face of the "invasive financing" movement which has sought to sway local and state elections with cash from far, far away.


    Not that any of the big Dems are against this, but I think rank & file Democratic voters have a pretty good idea how hated this man is on the right. Nominating Bloomberg would be perhaps the most energizing thing that the Dems could do for the Republican party.

    Holy molly, I just looked it up. That mansion could leave a carbon footprint large enough to allow a year round riding season in NJ. We'll need sugary slurpees for cool down. Just need to buy two 8 oz servings at two different locations. Embarrassing having to use the extra fossil fuel driving to achieve the 16 oz cool down necessary. All to compensate for Bloomberg's reckless attitude on global warming.

    Parts of our society are deteriorating to the point than anarchy is only thing that will stop these liberal elites from destroying 2 big cities. It is now only a misdemeanor (ticket issued) in San Francisco for shoplifting or theft of less than $950. Isn’t that one of the fundamental rights we have to 1) forcibly stop theft or 2) make the thief pay a price where he or she will at least think about it next time. In Philadelphia George Soros was successful in seating a liberal DA who is under charging all the way up to murder. Folks if these liberals keep going we tease about being our own 911 but I hate to say it but a time may come where you will be put in a position to defend your own life or property from marauding thieves. Will authorities side with you or the thief if it comes to deadly force. being used. Same people have to get in power and bring back the rule of law or our grandchildren are doomed.!!

    Last time I had to call 911 was about a suspicious vehicle parked in front of an elderly neighbor's house.

    911 operator spent several minutes quizzing me about being armed, drunk, or on drugs. Finally told operator to send a cop or hang the hell up & I would investigate it myself. Operator then spent more valuable time cautioning me not to be belligerent with police dispatchers!


    I hung up. Called my neighbor, she was fine, we both agreed to keep an eye on the car, but that I should stay in my yard. Neither of us was worried about me confronting some jackass in the car... she was worried about my getting arrested (or worse!) if I was there when the police arrived.


    When cops did arrive (20 minutes later) car rolled slowly off into the night (without lights), cops let 'em go without interference.

    And this friends, is how unions work.

    I avoided the lousy teacher's union until the Democratic legislature forced me to join. It was a bad deal from the off, I had an advanced degree (more than one) and I had rare skills; I taught physics and chemistry and developed new courses in astronomy. I got paid the same as a gym teacher (and less than any coach). When I won awards for my work, union rules forced me to give half the cash prize to the school district.


    They took a fee (for the math - and their excellent negotiating skills!) to the tune of $1000+ per year; and the fee went UP almost every year. Did they do good things with the cash that benefitted me? NO! They gave hundreds of millions to help elect socialist creeps that wouldn't cross the street to piss on - even if they were on FIRE!


    Oh yeah! I love me some unions!

    People moving out and stores closing because of no protection in Cali. Where are they going to get their tax money from.

    I heard about this. Isn't that a green light for theft, even an encouragement for theft? What if this happens on a massive scale? At the very least it's a position of you can take a chance and if you get away with it, great, if not it's no big deal.


    The political attitude is, it's votes. I'll get my job, you'll get your stuff. All you need to do is keep voting for the person that gives away the most taxpayer dollars. Effective and destructive.
