I once went into a courtroom in Texas many years ago and had a nice western style suit on, cowboy boots, hat, and a cowboy bolo tie (member the Urban Cowboy craze?). I went up to plead my case and the judge stopped me dead in my tracks and his exact words were (I still remember em) “Son - did you somehow confuse my courtroom with Gilleys” (Gilleys was the largest honkytonk in the world till it burned down). Before I could come up with an answer (one of the few times I was ever speechless) the judge chimed in again and said “Get put and put a “real” tie on and get back in here before I find you in contempt, slap you in jail for 24 hours, and fine you $500 and don’t ever appear in my court again not dressed accordingly. Needless to say I went out in the hall and paid $50 for a $10 tie and hustled back in. You can wear an ugly, cheap, suit and tie but ya better wear one. Moral of story - cut lawyers some slack on the suit - some judges can be freakin crazy !!!😂😂

My brother is a lawyer for the state of XX. He's down to earth as you are. We don't talk shop much. When we get together we drink some beers and enjoy a cigar. One thing he did say was lawyers don't make the laws and they may not agree with the laws, but they are sworn to uphold those laws weather they agree or disagree. It's there job.

Perhaps the judicial branch needs to uphold the laws in place or the legislative branch needs to update/change some laws?

Honestly, the camo is very muted in person and a nice, thick material. I like the camo because it allows me to wear them with every outfit. Brown doesn't go with everything, but the grayish camo top does.

I just noticed they have a kids version.

The other link has suede in the "color" description. Mine are "distressed brown" same shoe as the other, but the picture on the other looks like the toe area is actually suede and the camo looks more brown and tan than mine, my camo is more on the gray side.

Reading the news as of late sometimes I think the whole political situation is viewed as if

it were a game. One rooting for one team some the other. Some hoping “they get theirs” and others hoping for an escape. For a short time I was fully engaged in this as well. Not claiming any high ground on this one. But now, my mood has changed. I'm sad and frightened for our county.

I know this is a panacea of hope but I am rooting for OUR county and hopeful the process our founding fathers put in place stands. Our county started out as a desire for freedom. Freedom from a tyrannical monarchy bent on subjugation. No matter what your political persuasion, we the people should fight for and not give up these precious freedoms. They define us and make us unique in this world.

As Americans, that’s ALL of us, I hope there are still “a few good men/women” out there that will find the truth of what happened in our government so we can protect this great democracy and preserve the integrity of the American experiment for all people. We have to get this right. Those in government are accountable to US not the other way around.

Again - ALL ideas and speech should be welcomed, no matter how difficult to hear. If said in the open we the people are smart enough to know what is right. But this can only happen in a free society. What we are writing on this forum and me now is not possible and is deadly in much of the world today. Let that sink in and let us protect and uphold the foundations of this amazing country. This is OUR government and it should work the same for all Americans no matter what party you align with.

I gave Uncle Sam 21 years of my life to keep this Country free. The Democrats want to do away with our freedoms as for me that sucks. IMHO if they want to do away with freedoms they should start with Freedom of the Press because none of them report the truth anymore. I get sick to my stomach listening to some of them. Makes me feel like this Country is going to Hell.

The country isnt going to hell - its already gone to hell, but unfortunately many are too young to even see it because they have no memory of it being any different

Should we not get this right we will have the dubious distinction of being the petty generation that failed all those that came before us and gave all. No small thing.

unfortunately the task of attempting to "get this right" is not being left in our generations hands - there are those out there who want 16 year olds and people in the country illegally to be allowed to vote

they want the purse strings to be controlled by the people who are the takers and not by the payers

If I didn't have kids and grand kids that I care about I might be tempted to let all of the young pro socialism types support my old almost retired a$$

Seriously there is a side of me that thinks that perhaps if our youth thinks socialism is such a great idea who the hell am I to tell them they cant have it - - at my age I sure wont be one of the people who has to pay for it - most likely I would be gone before they ran out of money to give me "free" things

I don't believe we are there yet or the course cannot be corrected. We are close, the next couple years are IMO crucial. I don't wish on anyone, not my enemies, those I disagree with, or even those actively working to take us down a dark path, some of the things I have seen in the (I fear sometimes misused) name of protecting freedom or for anyone in this country to be forced to live the way some elsewhere do just so they can see the truth. I wholeheartedly believe current events are a well conceived and long executed plan, I have posted the source and reasoning a few times before so anyone can research it. However I also believe many are starting to wake up and see it for what it is, many with the help of a disruptive force who has caused chaos among the establishment at a critical time and is paying a price but history will ultimately judge well and correct.The founders intended for this country to be guided by the people because they trusted them, not the ruling class to know what is fair and good. I believe most still know what that is even if their voices have been muffled by those seeking power over them, so I have not yet lost faith.
