How about paying for the property that the WHITE man stole --- my forefathers think I'm deserving.

Edward Neal I think the only way reparations could be viable would be through tax exemption. How long would they be tax exempt and who is "they", how many generations removed from the slave qualify...? I wouldn't know how one could show proof that they are a decendant of slavery in America, but if they could, I suppose that could work.

All of this is just a distraction. The modern day Democrat Party is bankrupt of ideas, money and power. All they can try to do is give away yours and my money it’s really no more difficult than that. Power is addictive and they want it back and have no shame or moral compass when trying to acquire it. They will do and say anything to get it.My question is where are all the blue dog Democrats going to go?

At the end of the day how can any thinking person want to scrap the most generous, prosperous, successful freedom loving country in the history of the world for Venezuela? It’s just ludicrous.

Fortunately the American people are very intelligent and see this for what it is - insane. And if this country is so horrible and in need of a total revamp why are so many risking their lives to get here? Rant over !

First I'll say it's not a comparison but I'll also say its never told. Other people hurt too. My grandfather & grandmother came to this county from Poland, the only memory I have of him is lying on a couch coughing up black soot from working in a coal mine seven days a week, He died when I was 5 years old. Coal company paid him then he paid the mortgaged on the house to the coal company that owned his house. Bought groceries from the grocery store owned by the coal company that also owned his house. Then he got up the next day only to go down into a hole that few will ever understand how bad the conditions could be so he could get another pay check to pay the mortgage and buy groceries from the coal company that owns his house and the grocery store he bought groceries from .

No question it killed him and at a very early age. I went down a mine and it sucks! You can't see five feet in front of you.

Anybody care? I surly haven't felt that way?

Free college, free healthcare, increased minimum wage, clean air and water by ending all pullution and reversing man made global warming.

And my own. Free truck and puppy for every American.

I like the idea of environmental responsibility. The government should and does support environmental responsibility. There are executive orders in place now E.O. 13834 (Efficient Federal Operations) Trump & Formally E.O. 13693 Federal sustainability in the next decade (Obama).

Things are happing now but at a pace industry can handle and survive, in many cases make money. That's a good thing!

But In my opinion with most instances if the private sector can make money it will. If it can't, it won't. The new proposals are way radical & incredibly expensive. What if they themselves aren't sustainable? Are they going to put our industry at such a disadvantage it crashes? Something to think about?

Keep in mind our fun machines use fossil fuel. Driving a slingshot might be a crime in a few years!

Here are the problems i personally see with that.

Free college.....Not everyone goes to college to get an education and degree to actually provide them with a sustainable and employable future. I would guess about half of the college attendees are going just because they can get college loans that pay for their rent and food for 4 years so they do not have to get a job and it pacifies the parents for 4 years. Really, what good is a liberal arts degree or a arts degree in the world these days? Totally unemployable after graduation.

I would support free college for certain fields, like nurses, doctors (most medical fields) and most of the trades in a technical school as in welders, plumbers, electricians, HVAC, construction and the technical fields like robotics, programming, research. You know, stuff we need now and in the future.

Free healthcare.....We have that now. Most cities have free clinics or low cost government funded and supported doctors offices. For serious medical needs, we have Medicare/Medicaid. All you will need to do is do like they do in Canada/England/Venezuela, Make an appointment 6 months before you need it.

Clean Air and Water..... We already have that and the regulations to go with it, you know, the demise of the coal industry because the leftists dont believe in clean coal technology THAT EXISTS NOW. They want it, but dont want to pay for it, instead they want to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on shit that doesnt work.

Reversing man made global warming...... Who decides what part is man made and what part is the natural and historical FACT of the warming/cooling cycles the planet goes through since the beginning of time and will go through till the end of time?

I agree with AOC, shut down the Airlines, do away with ICE vehicles, buy everyone an electric bicycle with a foot powered generator for unlimited range, destroy all vehicles, kill all automotive/aircraft/heavy truck manufacturing jobs and all associated parts manufacturers jobs, fossil fuel jobs, truck driver jobs.farmer jobs. That would give us places to put solar panels where all the manufacturing plants and farms used to be, and run miles and miles of them on top of the interstate pavement where the cars USED to travel.

Make sure you say good bye to your slingshot too.

Socialism, got to love it, but cant figure out how to pay for it with all the lost jobs and lost income taxes, lost sales taxes, fuel taxes, registration fees and so on and so on that will go "POOF". Our country will be bankrupt in 30 days and will be like the TV show The Walking Dead. No electricity, no food, no gas, no mechanics, nothing. It will be like living in the 1800's again. I can't wait to see how the new snowflakes will survive while i tend to my garden and animals while carrying my big bad evil black rifle to keep my stuff MINE.

As for the coal industries demise, blame fracking and much cheaper natural gas. You want a free market and then cry when that free market kills an industry. Place blame in the right place in the future please.

As batteries come down in price and technology increases, as is happening now. It will naturally lead to the demise of fossil fuel driven vehicles. As range increases and charge times come down, only a fool would prefer gas to battery. Increased power, increased and instant torque, lower 0 to 60 times, less pollution, higher tow ratings...

There will be those secretly paid by the oil industry telling the American people that the "greenies" are killing the oil industry and waging a war on internal combustion engines. When in fact, "greenies" simply sought to find a cleaner way and that way is producing better numbers in every category and the free market is deciding fossil fuels future.

You may argue that clean energy is getting plenty of government help right now. It is, but so has the oil and coal industries for decades.

Free College???? Our public schools are tied down with "NO Child" left behind. In most cases we are dumbing down are education to meet the needs of a very small percentage of our Kids. Free college will just dumb things down a little more.
(most of you know I'm a residential painting contractor----but few know BA in math education, MA in Ed Amin, etc) So just a little knowledge about the education system.
