Why are so many Republicans cool with defunding or eliminating programs that would take care of these children after birth? Trump got rid of quite a few and you all cheered.

Somebody will look after them or not, not my problem. Just make sure you take that baby to term. If it dies from drugs, abandonment, getting shot, exposure... Thanks for once again proving my point.

Many Republicans are pushing for abortion to be abolished. The same ones are calling for the morning after pill to be pulled from shelves. The same ones are pushing for all the programs that help those families and children to be defunded or cancelled. Where is the logic there? They want to paint people into a corner and then blame them for being on the government teat.

Edward Neal it is responsible to have an early abortion if they don't make enough to raise a kid on their own and the condom broke, pill didn't work, internal contraceptive shifted...

It's called PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

IF you are responsible enough to decide to have unprotected sex, you are responsible enough to know that it COULD result in pregnancy.

I think the main problem is the LATE TERM abortion thing.

Once the fetus has a head, body, arms, legs and a beating heart, then no, not unless the mothers life is in jeopardy.

IF it is that far along, then adoption if you dont want it.

IF I play an imaginary lawyer in my dreams, if the mother is killed in a auto accident by a drunk driver and they charge the drunk with the fetus death, then abortion at that point should also be murder.

If the boyfriend/husband/lover wants the mother to get an abortion and she refuses so he punches her in the stomach and she loses the baby, if he is charged with the infant death, then abortion should be murder.

Thats just my non left wing nut case opinion.

Kind of like those that are opposed to the wall should not be allowed to have door locks on their house or vehicles or walls or fences around their property.

If we can't secure our country why should we secure our houses or cars?

And the human that is inside that fence LOVES that fast toothy thing and will defend it to the death also and is VERY well armed and capable of doing it. Please remember that if you underestimate your opponent, they will give you nothing, and take from you, everything. If some highly motivated individuals wanted your house, your fence, dog and guns will be planned for and dealt with. Do you leave your house? If so, you may have to get past your fence, their dogs and guns to get back in.

As an Army veteran I swore an oath to protect this country from ALL threats foreign and domestic. Building a useless wall isn't going to protect anything.

Yes, in the Army you build a barrier and protect every inch with overlapping firing lanes. That is not what is, or ever will be at the southern border.

Just the other day 40 people went over the wall and a little girl was hurt because she fell onto U.S. side. They were all apprehended, NOT because of the wall. They were apprehended because Border Patrol agents caught them with infrared vision from a helicopter.

For the record, that is twice the fetus loving Republicans have called for shooting, murdering, executing every man, woman and child that comes over the border illegally. (That is how stupid it sounds when people link a whole party to one/couple member's ideology).

Here is my proposal

Every birth certificate by law needs to name a mother and father (who will be held financially responsible for that child until 18 years of age.)

Unless you can legally prove with an arrest and conviction, rape or incest. Only exemptions.

Can’t name a father you are not eligible for welfare, food stamps or any other public assistance.
