    Winter is coming; be ready


    Last year's experience:

    8:00 a.m. I built a snowman.

    8:10 A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman.

    8:15 So, I built a snow woman.

    8:17 My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest saying it objectified snow women everywhere.

    8:20 The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snow men instead.

    8:22 The transgender ma..wom...person asked why I didn't just build one snow person with detachable parts.

    8:25 The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with.

    8:28 I am being called a racist, because the snow couple is white.

    8:31 The Muslim gent across the road demands the snow woman wear a burka.

    8:40 The Police arrive saying someone has been offended.

    8:42 The feminist neighbor complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needs to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role.

    8:43 The council equality officer arrived and threatened me with eviction.

    8:45 TV news crew from the ABC shows up. I am asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I reply, "Snowballs? I am now called a sexist.

    9:00 I'm on the News as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobic sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather.

    9:10 I am asked if I have any accomplices. My children are taken by social services.

    9:29 Far left protesters offended by everything are marching down the street demanding that I be beheaded.

    9:30 Schools have been closed so that sensitive children will not be exposed to these elements.

    Moral: There is no moral to this story. It's just a view of the world in which we live today

    Interesting new spot on Sunday Morning News NFL is having a hard time getting music celebrates to do the Half Time Show. Several years ago they were standing in line hoping for a spot, now they are turning it down faster than the NFL can ask. They don't think there fans like the kneeling that has been done at the games. One refused a half time ad spot.

    Part of the NFL's problem to find acceptable half time shows is that they don't PAY the performers anything for the show. Why does a multi BILLION dollar corporation exploit entertainers then scratch their heads when the entertainers choose to perform elsewhere and actually get PAID to work?

    WOLF - you will appreciate this. I got a bone to pick with Trump. He thinks the courts should look into the one sided coverage the mainstream media has against him. Even though I feel like many “journalists” go against all the conventional rules - they got a right to say what they want. The end user has the prerogative not to read or watch it. LEAVE THE 1ST AMENDMENT ALONE !! From our previous discussion - that knife cuts both ways !!

    Two issues with the media:


    1) The media is not held accountable when they do not report factually.


    2) The media has the power to eliminate terrorism, without the media terrorists loose their ability to promote fear, or make a name for themselves.


    When you take both of these items into consideration, then the media are terrorists, are they not?

    1) There are always liable suits going on against media outlets.

    They also call out thier own mistakes. Usually page 20, or the end of a segment after they appeared to go on commercial break. So, they are held accountable.


    2) There is this thing called the internet. Those, "home grown" terrorists weren't encouraged by the media. They were encouraged by misleading, half truth, hate speech they read on thier favorite websites that always corroborate thier most twisted conspiracies.


    Also, Since Trump got in office most of the MSM seem to be fully focused on that daily shitshow rather than anything outside that narrow sphere. Sooo?

    The sad thing is IF a Democratic President is elected that same media that called Mike Pompeo a “buttboy”, make personal attacks on the President AND his family will be outraged if the same comments are made about them. Will the next President be under constant investigation with the media reporting 90% negative against him. Whatever side of the aisle you are sitting on Trump’s presidency has clearly proven what was generally thought - the media is even more in the Dem/Liberal corner than ever could have been imagined. BUT - they still have the right to report false news or heavily slanted with no cooberation. The accountability should be with the consumer!!

    as a libertarian I agree that the consumers will eventually weed things out. News outlets that lie and attack will eventually lose viewers and thus advertisers and money that comes with them.


    This country seems to have adopted the idea that the people need the government to protect us from things such as discrimination or hate, or now fake news, and there is a segment of society that seems willing to trust the government to protect them. I personally think these things would be better handled by us the people. If we do not like what a business is doing we dont shop there and if others agree and do the same then the business will either have to change or they will go out of business. Same holds true for purveyors of fake news - if the people turn it off they will either be forced to change or they too will go out of business.


    This is the way things should work - the Libertarian way - let business/news/people do what they want and let the customers/people decide if they like it.


    If we don't do it this way and continue letting the government protect us in the end who will protect us from the government???

    Trump is self made ( most of us got help from family - he did very well with it) he was smart enough to get elected the first time- most in Washington have been trying their whole life-with no luck. Good or bad-he has no filter. He can go toe to toe with anyone- the left has found out to their dismay. Trump loves this country and it’s founding- the far left ( I did say “far”) does not. He has upset the Washington apple cart and pissed off those that were comfortable at the feed bag. He is a capitalist and proud of it. I am sure Trump takes pleasure tweaking a Bureaucracy That he had to endure as a business man. He has a beautiful wife, successful disciplined children, is self financed, and realizes his time is short. And most of all -has balls. Means what he says and to the best of his abilities does what he says. A rugged individualist in a time of nanny state cry babies. These are but a few of the reasons the left and many on the right dispise him.


    I for one think he came along in the nick of time.
