I gotta say Costa Rica is lookin better and better all the time - only problem it would cost a fortune to get my Sling down there ... guess I’ll have to stick it out here

Good luck with that .... If the US ever goes sideways it'll be Mad Max Thunderdome down there .... get out of the tourist traps and its almost there now .....Was born here (my Father insisted my Mother return to a base in the states for both my and my sisters birth) but didn't live on US soil again until I was in middle school ... spent more of my life in other countries than my own but am working on correcting that ...
I have yet to find anywhere I would rather live no matter what and was more grateful every time I returned home .... would be a nice change of pace to be shot at defending my own property .....

1. Were the devices functional?
2. Why use timers if your mailing the device? How would you know when they would receive the device and be near it?
3. Why make it easily identifiable? All packaged the same and let's be honest it looks like a cartoon bomb. We need to look at Wyle Coyote.It just doesn't look right.
The FBI has released a profile of who they're looking for as the bomb mailing suspects. Top on their list is that they're looking for Bernie Sanders socialists since none of the bombs actually WORKED

FBI just announced that they have a suspect in custody now in the Miami area. Press conference is being planned for later today. This could be very informative if they release all they know about him. They have DNA evidence that matches the suspect as well as video images of him mailing them. It could be wrapped up by dinner time

should freedom of speech include all speech or should there be limitations?
I was just reading that European court has ruled that defaming Muhammad is not protected free speech. and it dawned on me that if we only protect approved speech then whats the point?
I am not saying that there wont be consequences, and sometimes they could even include criminal prosecution - the old yelling "fire" in a theater comes to mind - it would incite panic and this should be punishable
but should people be punished just for saying words just because someone else is offended?
I personally think the entire point of freedom of speech is to protect the offensive speech - - it is the only kind of speech that needs protecting

I must admit that I find it interesting that we have 12 defective devices that were mailed and when they find the guy his van is covered with beautiful brand new pro trump and anti left stickers - - go look at the pictures - they all look brand new, no old faded stickers at all looks like they were just put on last week.
just seems a bit off to me, but what do I know?

I doubt we will ever know, but I have to wonder what the goal was in doing this thing. It seems rather clear that devices were never really intended to explode, so what did this guy think would happen? what did he think would be gained

its an interesting thing I have noticed. if you walk around in a Trump for president shirt sooner or later someone on the left is bound to give you grief about it, and if you walk around in a Hillary for president shirt sooner or later someone on the right is bound to give you grief
On the other hand if you walk around in a Gary Johnson for president shirt no one on the right or left cares - This seems to indicate that its not the policies that they are against, its the party.
perhaps the only way we will ever be able to truly work together politically will be if we abandon both the Democratic party and the Republican party
