I guess it depends on where you are. Here a group of Troopers would be referred to as Troopers, troop would indicate the geographic area the troopers are assigned to. The example for my area would be Troop H.
IDK. If they say, "You 10 are assigned to this area which we'll mark Troop H". One could conclude those 10 are Troop H assigned to that area. Based on the definition of troop and how most organized units operate. But maybe your "group of armed personal" do things different.

I saw the two different videos shown during the Democratic Clown Show. Anyone could see the difference between the one the Dems stated was a peaceful protest and the events around the Portland Courthouse. if the rioters at the Portland courthouse acted like the protesters in the earlier video, there would be I need for the Federal marshals.

Never said I wanted the United States to be behind in in any tech? Wear did you read that? Or did you read what you wanted to read. Sometimes rushing into things without going through the process is not a good thing. Two examples follow. E.O. 13693 put in place by the Obama Administration called for 95% of federal purchasing to be environmental purchasing (standards are vast and I can't get into them on this forum). The administration wanted to push the edge of technology and put into place the USDA to set standards of Minimum biobased content. For example disposable cutlery was set at 51%. This limited the companies willing to produce the product simply because it doubled the cure rate in production, increasing cost beyond what the general public would pay. Effectively now the company had to make a product specifically for the government. This is the kind of thing people don't see and it drives the cost up (way up) for the consumer. Now after this product is put out into the system (and this applies to public items). Instead of having a whole spoon now you have a spoon made of 50/50 mix of biobased plastic and oil based plastic. It breaks down into a thousand little pieces so it can easily find its way into the waterways and gets clogged into the gills of fish. Dead fish, not good.
Another example of rushing without thinking. The one below is from 2015. It is a bottle made from 100% plant based plastic (PLA polylactic acid). Great thing right. Trouble is it wasn't thought through. It's #7 recycling code. Looks just like any plastic bottle. Its not compatible in the recycling stream. Put it into the recycling stream and you just contaminated the recycles. Think most people will care to look at the recycling # or understand the difference. I don't.

What I am saying is a mad rush may just turn into a disaster far worse than the benefit. It also may just turn out to be a financial disaster that is unfair to the taxpayer. I believe in good things for the environment but crazy to just blindly go forward.
True, but they aren't attempting to " blend in" or be covert.
True, they are tying to protect lives and property. Uniforms allowing them a small amount of covertness to get to the center of the hornets nest (where the destruction happening) without getting torn apart. I just am cofounded that some of the public detest the police trying to protect, do their job and survive?

Where are you getting those quotes/wording (complete wording) from? Those aren't my words in the context they were presented? By changing the wording it changed the context of the meaning:
I never used the words chasing an eco dream? That implies that pursuing environmental efforts is a waste of time, like a pipe dream? They are great things and should be pursued to the greatest extent possible in a responsible way that works for the good of everyone and still allows the private industry to operate at a competitive level.
Absoulty I believe China will take advantage in any way they can to decrease production costs. Did anyone see the video of the of the slave laborers on their knees, blindfolded? These companies will never move operations to the U.S. If our government keeps putting our companies at a production disadvantage. We are using solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, and nuclear and a steady consistent pace and that's a great thing. It's at a pace that our companies can adapt to, use to their advantage and make a profit without being strangled out of competition. That's a good thing. That's the way a free market economy exists. I'm not a fan of socialism!
