I don’t think the good hero captain will get a presidential pardon....I do think that his commanding officers and this guy....Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly.....are going to have some ‘splaining to do...in front of the president.....
My prediction....Captain keeps his rank....gets his pension and gets to sail a desk...or quietly slips away....
acting navy guy ...might not get the academy award...for his acting...The commanding officers could get an ass chewing....and the entire incident gets swept under the rug ....after a review of the entire situation...
but guaranteed Trump is absolutely going to find out everything about the entire incident.....
the navy has been totally embarrassed by this fluster cluck. And I’m guessing unless something seriously was mishandled they will want this to go away really fast...CYA is seriously in play...from all angles ... -

one thing I found interesting - - Secretary of Navy goes on a Ship and uses unprofessional language to admonish the ex Captain for doing something he should have known would go public when it shouldn't - - So shouldn't the Secretary of the Navy have known that his admonishment and off color language would also go public when he probably didnt want it to???
it seems hypocritical to get upset about someone letting something go public when you are doing the exact same thing

Or it's an example of how loose the crew is when it comes to information. The crew following the Captains example. What was said in the ship wasn't passed outside the ship by him.

I just talked to a parent and she’s not happy with the way that’s going....read this....answer some questions.. answer a few more questions....see ya tomorrow...
there needs to be a major overhaul of the curriculum ...start teaching the real history...not a sanitized version with all the virtues of liberals, socialists and commies...Just in the acting Navy secretary just resigned......

Thank you Bigdog for the info it helps me to put your opinions on military matters in perspective. Approaching an issue without experience creates a different perspective. I can now see your only real interest in the ex captain of the Roosevelt is to bash Trump. I get it you hate Trump as you have indicated. The concept of chain of command is for you only a concept not a part of your experience. OPSEC and chain of command are more than a concept to me so our opinions do not match. You can pick your heroes and I'll pick mine, a Captain that fails his mission is not a hero to me. He allowed his ship be compromised and announced it to the world, he needed to be removed and was. The now the ex acting SecNav removed the weak link and them stepped away. That's best case for Trump, the bad man is gone and Trump didn't need to do it. Now a new captain can be assigned without the ex SecNav tainting the selection.
Correction: WOLF has pointed out that you worship Trump not hate him, I stand corrected. It appears your hatred is reserved for Modly.

When I was much much younger one of our local TV stations would sign off at the end of their day every night at 1:00 am and before they went off the air they would show a beautiful video of images from across the country that was accompanied by that Ray Charles version of America - - - always loved it

You have some corrections to make. You clearly don't pay much attention when Bigdog comments. He is a Trump supporter through and through. When comparing posts from him to posts from you that are in regards to Trump, smart money would be on him getting on his knees to service Trump before you.
