    I beg to differ - many of his executive orders were undoing the mess that Obama’s pen and phone got us into. Obama did not have the authority to do it these executive orders and the left applauded him. That made it easy for Trump to roll it back. Trump IS within his legal authority to declare a state of emergency (albeit after the 9th Circuit challenges it and the Supreme Court rules in Trump’s favor). AND - once the wall is built another President will have a tough time tearing it down. Liberals can’t stand it they can’t pin anything on Trumo and he is way ahead of the Dems at every turn. It cannot be disputed if you got eyes that our southern border is under assault - BUILD THAT WALL UNDER ANY MEANS NECESSARY !!

    Lol, might be a horrible hypothesis Orangeman . Reports are coming in that Trump is expected to make an announcement soon. Supposedly he is going to allow a stop gap 2 or 3 week budget to pass. Wasn't that the Dems bill?


    If that happens, I applaud him for growing up in the last month. I wonder if his base will be more mad about him "caving" in at the moment, or when he reverses himself again after a FOX lambasting? JK, I know it would be the "cave".     Don't know how much truth there is to it, but I heard that Trump went for the temporary deal to avoid air travel issues for the super bowl


    and actually it does let me relax a bit - Wife and I are scheduled to fly out to the Philippines on the 10'th to take her mothers ashes home and knowing that the TSA should be at full strength gives me one less thing to worry about


    On the other hand coming back on the 20th might be a different story ;)

No. Make Congress do their jobs. I hated Obama for doing the same type shit, and I dont support it now that Trump may try it.


    As for today's revelation... The Dems will see it as capitulation and make them less likely to negotiate. The Reps will see it as a negotiating tactic. Both are delusional. As you guys have already pointed out, either way it's kicking the can.

    I can’t disagree with you but how do you propose we “make Congress do their jobs”. It appears we have devolved to the point that whether your Rep or Dem going the nuclear route is the only way to move the needle. If Pelosi and Schumer had not already voted for wall funding I would say Trump is overstepping. We both know this is nothing but political posturing on both sides - they only are concerned about power - the American people are way down the list!

    This whole time Trump reminded me of the kid that acts up to get "that". The parents stand their ground that the kid isn't going to get anything until he starts acting right. It goes on and on, back and forth. When the kid finally gets how things work, figures out that his behavior was unacceptable and starts acting properly, the Parent(Dems) give him his "thing"(wall).

    I will have to say that Trump deserves all the shit he is getting from the Dems for caving in to them.

    And he will deserve the upcoming finger the Dems will give to him when he says something about the wall funding.

    And yes WOLF , I am 100% pissed off at him and the Repubs for giving in and presenting Pelosi with their balls on a silver platter.

    It looks like I will repeat my voting strategy of 2016 in 2020.

    That way it is a complete win for Dems(Nancy), because she said "No negotiations until the government is opened" (check) , "We will fund border security" (check) "No Trump Wall" (and check).


    The "independent security specialist" will deem new wall construction at point (A), (B) and (C) as necessary along with tech stuff and more guys. Per the agreement, some(hmm,hmm most) of the $6B goes to those sections of wall. Trump gets a wall that he will call his, but it won't be known for months after the deal is signed. It takes "specialists" that long time to assess the situation.;)

    Something like he did today, which is what I said was holding up the whole thing. Did you notice the January 4th, House passed Bill finally went before the Senate yesterday and was voted down, only for Trump to tell Mitch to put their name on it and pass it as a Senate bill today.
