I have to wonder what kind of marketing expert would ever think it is a good idea to promote a small minority at the risk of losing the majority - - especially when it comes to political issues where no matter which side you take you are bound to piss off 50% of your your customers.

Seriously if I owned a large chain like Walmart and my marketing department came to me and said they wanted to fill the front of each store with anything that took any side on a hot divisive political subject they would all be fired on the spot - even if it was something I agreed with.
