I am amazed at some of the posts members are putting up over there demanding it be stopped and such. And if they think they are trying to be funny - some of them are a million miles off from humor. I get what a pain in the ass it is as a member but it must be horrible as an moderator. The reason I couldn't stay over there was the blatant lack of decency and respect towards members. I just can't imagine what some of those folks are like if caught in a traffic jam or if the pizza guy is 15 minutes late. I love this place and so glad I am here

That "probably" won't work in this case...
I mean, if IP address hops are taking place every 60 seconds throughout a VPN tunnel... The bot-net sitting within the US, would ultimatly get everyone's IP banned. Thus, anyone who's registered (and the site itself), would ultimately become inaccessible.
Again, just a guessing here... but me thinks, the Chinese wording, is misdirection.
That was just the first thing that came to mind. I was assuming that at some point it would become apparent where the spammers were operating from.

Just finished reading the posts from blitzkrieg that ericastar76 was kind enough to show us. All I can say is: Holy Crap, what a loser that guy is. I personally have never been on that sight and after reading posts like that.. if he truly is the moderator... he needs to be fired. I was never planning on checking out that sight anyway but now I never will.
BTW..... you have no idea how long it took me to figure out that TDS meant "the dark side" lol.

Really? For two days every post was Chinese. You couldn't read any others. The admins didn't even acknowledge that it was going on or that they were attempting to do anything to resolve the issue. Instead all you got was a reply from Blitzholo saying it was a holiday. As pointed out by Orangeman the site is run by Canadians who to the best of my knowledge don't celebrate Memorial Day the same time we do in the US. Even still, there should be someone monitoring the forum all the time. They did not acknowledge the issue until Tuesday afternoon. So yeah, people, myself included demanded results. There is more than one Slingshot Forum in the internet of things. BTW - the spam started Saturday, people got pissed on Sunday and today is Wednesday - they are still being slammed. Maybe the admins are communicating now, but who can tell with all the Chinese posts.
Number 1. seems like a no brainer to me and that was the first thing I thought of and I don't know Jack about how to run a forum.
