Two piece or one
Rain Gear

I carry a two piece just because that's the one I already had on hand. Not sure if it works and hopefully won't find out!

2 piece for us.

Two piece... you can don and shuck the jacket fairly quick when the sauna begins. And you can tolerate the pants longer when skies are threatening.
-
2pc Frogg Toggs for us. The one pc suits can be hard to get out of once you start to sweat. Not to mention you look like boy racer.....

Just a little note from me. The only problem with the Frog Togs is it seems when it is raining water collects in the seat and will soak thru the Frog Togs so you get a wet A--. So what I did was get a cheap set of vinyl and just wear the bottoms and then wear the Frog Tog top. Works for me

I and wife use Harley 2 piece that is 20 some years old. Much easier to get into than a one piece I had many years ago.
I remember a Harley rental ride out of Montana and was in Grand Tetons and saw darks clouds and said it will pass over.
Well wish I would have put that 2 piece rain suit on, hours of riding in cold rain and took 4 hours to thaw out.
And then a ride with wife years later and told her to put rain suit on and no rain but heavy clouds for hours and oh my did we sweat are asses off.
So you pay a price at times for the wrong and the right decisions. -
just saying!

We both bought our 2 piece suits from Harley.
They don't really help much in the heavy rain, lol.

We use this down here, right @Bill Martin?

Wow. Impressive.... not a shot in hell I'm fitting into anything I bought 20 years ago! Kudos to you and your wife.

They're small, carry both. The Frogs are great for normal to light rain and aren't too hot as they breathe a bit. The one piece is the go to suit for heavier rains.

With two piece Does the water come in up under the jacket at the waist?
-
Have the Harley 2 piece. No issues with rain coming between them. The bib portion of the pants keeps us dry. The real deal is, we don't ride in the rain a anymore. Been there many times on the Harley, no more. We pull over, stop at a donut shop or hotel or sonething and wait it out. I'm just not liking driving the SS in a serious rain.

Frog toggs in a heavy zip lock bag under the seats, lots of miles in the rain and no issues. Put on the bottoms when weather threatens and the top when the rain starts.

Wife and I HAD the Frog Togs. Got my body soaked more than a few times in them. They do well in lighter stuff. I bought the Harley 2 piece a few years ago. Advantage being if only road spray (on the Harley) we could use the lowers only if it was hot. In the SS, can use both or tops only, depending on the weather conditions. I felt like I was getting butt soaked in the SS with them, but when I eventually took them off, I was dry. We put them under the side panels, works great on trips.

I use two piece Frog Togs. I have been in heavy rain with them. No wet butt, no water coming up the jacket. However lots of water comes through the neck hole, even when wearing the hood(which limits peripheral vision). I just deal with the wet chest. Does anyone know of a jacket that prevents that?
